I got in this morning after doing the weekly shop to find my fur brat has chewed the zip off one of my sofa cushions and ripped out all the stuffing 🙈

And she greeted me at the door, proud as punch and wagging tail, the little shit 😂 I have yet to tell DP.

What's the worst thing your fur brats has done?

My french bulldog ripped one of our chickens through the fence surrounding their coopShock

Mabellavender · 27/03/2019 13:09

Ripped one of chickens head off!

PanGalaticGargleBlaster · 27/03/2019 13:09

My late border collie ate a rugby ball signed by the entire England 2003 World Cup squad and shat it in tiny pieces all over the garden.

Also ate the Christmas ham, which was impressive given the ham was almost as big as her.

I miss her.

This isn't about my pets (I have cats that don't get up to anything heinous, apart from bringing the corpses of prey animals and birds into the house). But my DSis's Labrador Retriever ate her DSS's pet hamster the first weekend she brought her with her to their house.

Thankfully, although her DSS was very upset at the time, he forgave her dog and they became the best of friends.

Sarahlou63 · 27/03/2019 13:18

My first dog ate my ex's two temporary front teeth, about an hour before he was due to start his shift as a head waiter...

Another ate a 2kg beef fillet one Christmas morning...

One of the current pack attacked one of the goats, resulting in an emergency operation on our kitchen table to reattach her milk teats...

Countless remote controls, sunglasses, cushions and several chickens...

We keep rats we've lost to them - A Printer, Several pairs of headphones, bedroom carpet, handbag, about 50 glue sticks, my favourite pair of jeans, various house plants, many tubes of foundation.

Most of it was DD's female rats who like to chew far more than boys but the printer was lost to one of my boys who climbed inside it same rat spent 4 weeks living in my underwear drawer because he just constantly escaped the cage until he got too fat to squeeze out.

babysharkah · 27/03/2019 13:22

Far too many to mention but the most embarrassing was when he cocked his leg on a lady in the park. Fucker.

adaline · 27/03/2019 13:24

Escaped into someones house when he was chasing after their cat Blush

Bluesheep8 · 27/03/2019 13:35

Cat brought home a very dead rabbit. clearly a domestic pet rabbit Blush

OpportunityKnocks · 27/03/2019 14:00

Pulled me over chasing a rabbit. Resulted in a broken collarbone and 2 operations.

Stole a massive freshly cooked ham off the counter meant to feed the extended family on boxing day.

BenjiB · 27/03/2019 14:03

Chewed the handle of a mulberry handbag .... twice 🙈

FuckBrussel · 27/03/2019 14:13

Just remembered - not exactly a pet, but I rescue and rehabilitate bats. When they are getting stronger I need to let them fly to build up their strength and so I can see how they're doing. I do this in the hallway, and I'm careful to close all the doors, stuff towels under them, and make sure there's nothing an errant bat can hide behind or in.

Usually.

However, this time I forgot about the small head for my vacuum cleaner, which was under the hall table. I was flying a little female pipistrelle (she was a feisty little madam anyway), and she landed beside this thing, gave a squeak of glee and scuttled inside it...

One week, she lived in there. One whole week. Fortunately it was small enough to fit in her tub, instead of her more conventional bedding, so she would come out to eat (overnight) and then go back into Chez Dyson.

I finally extracted her by blowing hard into the hose end. She was not pleased, and told me exactly what she thought of me as she wriggled out between the brushes.

rosydreams · 27/03/2019 14:16

my mothers cat stole a huge fish from someones pond and dumped it alive on the kitchen floor =/

poorbuthappy · 27/03/2019 14:16

GSD ate my mattress. Pulled off the bedding - tore off the beading type run along the edge and peeled the top off, emptying the contents over all the upstairs.
Rats - used to pinch things off the mantle piece. Money, jewellery etc.
Border collie we lost last year ate a tin of quality street with the wrappers on...we had sparkly poo all over the garden for a while!

anniehm · 27/03/2019 14:22

Post mostly, we ended up installing a porch so he couldn't get to it (the cage thing you put on doors was just a fun puzzle for him to overcome in a couple of hours!) He doesn't chew at all now and is only left in one room (near door) when we are out

anniehm · 27/03/2019 14:27

I forgot about plaster, he ate walls when he was a pup, I must stress it all stopped at 10months. The only issue now is that he can climb over a 6 ft fence so has to be watched in the garden

lpchill · 27/03/2019 14:32

Our just turn 1 year old mini labradoodle peed on someone in the park. Peed on my MIL sofa multiple times (just the one in the reception, all others where fine) he always pees on bean bags so we are a bean bag free household. He takes any paper or cardboard he finds and shreds it all over the house. The worst thing he's done is almost rape the cat twice. (Poor cat was skittish for a week) which then lead to us having him done

AlexandraPeppernose · 27/03/2019 14:35

Ate the Xmas turkey

catzrulz · 27/03/2019 14:39

Our house rabbit was a great wee thing, really friendly and loved playing with the cat, they'd bonded really well.
They both loved hiding under our bed, it was so cute. Until the day I decided that I'd plug the bed in to raise the head and as we were going to watch a film in bed. The wee furry fecker had chewed every cable that operated the bed. Nearly had rabbit stew that day.

Furiousfive · 27/03/2019 14:43

My chinchillas ate part of the wall when their cage was accidentally pushed closer to the skirting board.

The dog has munched the bottom of our sofa and armchairs, leaving just fraying threads.

Porridgeprincess · 27/03/2019 14:45

Our cat came into the bedroom one night with a bird in her mouth , let if off... it went beserk of course. I was hiding under blanket screaming, DP was trying to catch it. Cat had waddled off downstairs, lost interest. Little asshole.

Burlea · 27/03/2019 14:54

We thought one of our 4 month old cavaliers escaped, we lived on a development of 45 houses, every one came out looking for him. Searching fields, sheds garages etc.
6 hours later we can home defeated. His brother was distressed searching for him. DD went to her bedroom for a good cry.
The little bugger came out from under her duvet. We had searched all rooms before asking neighbours. For the rest of his life if he wanted a bit of peace and quiet he would hide himself away so you couldn't find him.

Yousicktwistedfruit · 27/03/2019 14:57

Ddog is 14 weeks old and she’s already ripped up carpets down the plywood underneath the underlay, chewed the edge of the table, chewed headphones, chewed shoes, thinks cat shit is some kind of delicacy along with her own Envy not envy.

The cats on the other hand destroyed the corners on my dinbing chairs, used the couch as a scratching post, destroyed one corner of the bed, the kitchen bin has to be shut in the bathroom otherwise they will tip the whole thing on the floor, pulled the curtains down, ate fridge magnets, used the carpets as scratching posts.

I could go on the list is endless with the fur bastards. I wouldn’t be without any of them though.

Topseyt · 27/03/2019 15:01

I was on a nearly deserted dog beach in North Wales with my then two year old labrador. Virtually nobody in sight. He raced up to a beached boat, ran around it and reappeared with a carrier bag in his mouth, which I immediately took off him, thinking it was some litter he had picked up.

A man's voice piped up from behind me: "Excuse me, has your dog eaten my organic bacon fishing bait? It should be in that bag".

I swear that bloke had just mushroomed up out of the sand!

I checked the bag, and sure enough it was empty. The organic bacon was in the labrador! Blush I did offer to give the man the money to get more, but he wouldn't take it and was in the end thankfully OK about it.

Said labrador once also pissed on my leg when we were waiting our turn at agility class.

We used to have a cat too (sadly no longer with us). DH used to keep a pair of walking boots beside the back door, which also has the cat flap in it. One day he went to put his boots on, only to find that the cat had stored a dead mouse in one.

All of our pets have had their moments really. It's what they do.

onlyhereforthefood · 27/03/2019 15:03

Cat one - came in and dropped a pigeon on my face whilst I was napping on the sofa

Cat two- shreds everything, also once got the shits and turned in to a maniac running everywhere. A floofy paintbrush on four legs.
