As per thread title.. What else reeeeeally pisses you off? Words, sayings, phrases or things people do...

OP posts:
Originofstars · 23/03/2019 20:43

I have found myself internally thinking about "making memories" since my dad was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. I have lots of memories with him but now realise I can never have enough. Would never use it outside of my own thoughts though

puppy23 · 23/03/2019 20:43

I have someone on facebook who writes posts as if they're coming from her dog and posts almost daily. There's some horrific use of baby style speech and it makes even me, a massive dog lover, feel a bit ill. They've become somehat of a local celebrity

'And if da wevver is orribull tomorra I is staying right ere.'

PurplePenguins · 23/03/2019 20:51

The phrase "going forward" we're not going back!
People who post statuses just to get a "what's wrong?" "Are you ok?" Or check into hospital/doctors but say nothing.
People who post pictures of their dinner.

PurplePenguins · 23/03/2019 20:51

And people who write defiantly instead of definitely.

pammyg1 · 23/03/2019 20:58

stunnin' hun, gawjus girl everytime someone puts a photo on! Sickbag pleeze (oh yeah silly spellings too!)

werideatdawn · 23/03/2019 20:59

Haven't read all posts but I hate anything mama bear or cub related. Its hideous.

pammyg1 · 23/03/2019 21:00

stunnin hun, or gawjus girl everytime someone puts a photo on!

pammyg1 · 23/03/2019 21:02

stunnin' hun or gawjus girl when someone puts a photo on!

Cherrysoup · 23/03/2019 21:09

People saying ‘My fella’. 🤬 Are you a copy writer for the Sun, circa 1970? No? Then shut the fuck up.

People pretending to be their dog talking. I know it’s been mentioned already, but it annoys me horribly.

People saying their toddler is sexy or that they have a girl or boyfriend. So ridiculous. Just let the child be a child without talking about sex in the same context as your two year old!

AuntMarch · 23/03/2019 21:13

I had a shitload of bereavements in a short space of time and will sometimes allude to birthdays/anniversaries on fb if I'm feeling a bit wobbly

I don't think anyone minds a feeling sad status, but "happy birthday" does seem a bit odd when being dead does mean you aren't actually getting older.

Someone on my Facebook always write "you" and "yuw" and it makes me want to throw things.

Mikewazowskismrs · 23/03/2019 21:19

Don’t know if anyone’s said it but I detest the #myfiancesbetterthanyours or #myfriendsarebetter than yours statuses.

Also people who take pictures on holiday and write “hows your Monday” or whatever day if is. Not like your going to be back to the rain next week 🙄

Also agree about the hospital check ins and people checking in at cemeteries/posting photos of headstones :

Snapper53 · 23/03/2019 21:29

Fur Babies - yuk!

manicmij · 23/03/2019 21:33

Children referred to as kids. They are not the offspring of goats. Folks moaning about needing a bigger house due to having too many children. Wonder that happened then!

adelul · 23/03/2019 21:36

My mum is the worst for misusing social media! She posts birthday wishes to my dad who isn't even on it, does it for me too when it's my birthday and then texts me to tell me to reply to 'all the lovely people' who have wished me happy birthday
Also, she took a photo without my knowledge of her and my daughter when she stayed once, then one day it popped up she was using at her profile picture, I would have just liked to know she was going to use my daughter for the likes and comments!

LouLou789 · 23/03/2019 21:39

Sanctimonious, meandering posts about various illnesses/charities then a request to share the post and then the killer line: “I know who will share this, and those who won’t”

I’ve got a standard response to this: “Hi X, I never copy posts like this to my own page but of course I am in favour of this cause”. I’ve noticed that other replies then follow suit.

Stops any flouncing, and there are now only a couple of people who still do it,i that I like enough not to just unfollow.

Bozlem80 · 23/03/2019 21:47

Checking in at hospital

The ranting on social media then when people ask they say ‘will inbox you’

The words ‘eeekkk’ ‘woop woop’ ‘hollibobs’

People live on Facebook, why the hell do I want to watch someone in the pub getting pissed?!

My list could go on 😡

teaisabrew · 23/03/2019 21:49

'Fumin babes'
'Livid hun'

BitOfFun · 23/03/2019 22:07

Spoony memes!

Hun......aarrgghhh!
My world, right here...alongside family photos..
Those who post on Facebook,,saying " feeling sad/ ill/ poorly" bit not revealing the reason why so people have to ask.....attention whores!

looselegs · 23/03/2019 22:12

And I hate hate HATE hashtag!!!!!

looselegs · 23/03/2019 22:14

Oh, and photos of their daughter saying " date night with Daddy"
Am I the only one who cringes at that???

DaisyEmma · 23/03/2019 22:38

Pretty much all the above.

Also ridiculous use of the word ‘awesome’ #nandos #datenight #awesome
No. What’s ‘awesome’ is something like Niagra falls.

Also #littleman I don’t know quite why but it winds me right up. He’s a baby.

Nevth · 23/03/2019 22:45

Ahahaha @soulrunner that is the best! Made me laugh so much. Once I called one of the attention seekers out (hospital photo, what's wrong, I'll PM you-people) and asked what was wrong. When I got the inevitable "I'll PM you" response, I asked why she posted publicly if she didn't want to say what was wrong. Surely not for attention?! I didn't get a PM but I got about 30 likes on my comment before she removed it Grin

Chocmallows · 23/03/2019 22:54

#stressedbutdon'taskme ok
#soluckyperfectkids blatant lie
