To want to get piercings at my age?

I have always wanted my nose and navel pierced. Controlling exP didn't approve of piercings, so I didn't get them when I was younger. Now I'm 31, is it tragic if I get them pierced now?

Go for it. I'm 39 and have conch, daith, double snug, rook, tragus, helix and lobes done. Had my conch done on Saturday and can't wait to go back and get some more (it seems this is my stress relief coping mechanism 🤣). Never too old - rock those piercings 🥰

I got my nose pierced at 35 and my lip last year at 37. Do it!

The issue with breastfeeding isn’t the (minuscule) Chance of infection per se in terms of milk etc.

Breastfeeding can alter the way the body heals, meaning a piercing can take longer to heal thus increasing the chance of infection.

I would (and did) wait until finishing breastfeeding but then go for it

Do it, I had my nose pierced at 16. Am now 37. I even think my auntie who is in her 50s has her nose pierced. All I will say is buy a load of spare nose studs because if you accidentally drop one you may never find it again.

I waited til I stopped breastfeeding to have my nipple pierced, needn't have bothered as I still lactate from that breast and not only does the milk come out of where it's supposed to, it also comes out of the piercing holes! It's quite the party trick

Never too old, i'm 46, have lots of piercings and am half way through getting a half sleeve tattoo

I'll be 50 this time next week, had my nose & my tragus pierced last year & have several tattoos. My mum had her first tattoo last year for her 70th birthday. Go for it!

My main concern would be that they'll get snagged when you're playing with your kids.

My industrial is taking forever to heal due to DS and DP being clumsy sods, DS nearly ripped it out of my ear (entirely accidentally!) just yesterday.

i went to get my daith done at 50, and ended up with a rook piercing instead ...i have inadequte daiths!

I also used birthday money from the ILs, just because. :o

I had my nose pierced at 34 two months ago. Always wanted it, for some reason didn't have it done, and just went for it. I love it. I have about 8 piercings in my ears.

I was 32 when I got my nose pierced and 37 when I got my first tattoo - go for it!

Am 48 and getting my other tragus done soon... Have had much pierced in the past, never regretted any of them! Do it! Make sure they're licenced though👍😊

I always wanted my nose pierced until, at age 16, I watched my friend get hers pierced by a gun and jump to the ceiling and got a really dodgy piercing.

I know you’ve got your mind set on beauty parlour but I would really recommend a tattoo parlour

Please go to a tattoo/piercing studio.

They will be licensed, hygienic and will not care how old you are!

Noses shouldn’t be pierced with a gun - I’m given to understand that they can damage your septum (the bit in between your nostrils). Even ear lobe piercings shouldn’t be done with a gun.

They should be pierced with a needle and then the jewellery fitted. Ask about for a reputable piercing studio :)

I got my nose pierced when I left my ex (he hated them) I love it! Although I am crap at losing the bloody thing lol
