AIBU to be really annoyed with Sainsbury's

Got home this evening from work, guests coming over this evening, and my Sainbury's order hasn't arrived.

I phone them up to be told, oh dear it looks like the driver phoned in sick today.

That's despite getting an email from them at lunch time to say it would be delivered.

Can they do anything to help me? No. They can't help deliver my food, they can't rearrange the deliver. I can't even make a compliant because their computer system doesn't allow it.

Useless, useless company.

Not even sure I should reply to some of the comments but

a) I live in a terraced house not a castle
b) The reason I went shopping at Waitrose is because it's my closest supermarket and my Sainbury's order didn't show up (hence the thread)
c) Having an au pair is cheaper than the other types of childcare in my area.

I wouldn’t worry too much you went yourself and didn’t send the au pair ;-)

I use Morrison's 3 weeks out of 4 for my online shop & then Ocado for the other week because I like things like white Italian onions & a few other things that Morrison's don't include in their online range. I've never had a problem with either, they always turn up on time, very few substitutions, I'm housebound at the moment & live in a flat where the drivers have to park quite a way from my flat. The drivers have been brilliant, even when we have had bad snow, they have rung to let me know that they are still coming if running a bit late due to the weather.

Don't worry OP, apparently you're only allowed to post on MN if you're completely skint and living on the breadline!

I'm a taxi operator, and if a driver calls off, we find another driver... We can't just not send a pre-booked taxi!
