Not one, but two full sets of wedgewood dinner sets - four of everything including four HUGE serving platters. Tenner each.

Original Ercol coffee table - Circa £20

Doc Martens oxblood leather satchel, BNWT - £7

Brand new leather brogues from LK Bennett- £4

We have loads of good charity shops near us. Most of my books are from BHF or Oxfam
Bookshops.

I bought some GHDs from Oxfam for £12! Not sure they knew what they were worth when they priced them up but I was skint at the time so very happy.

ShinyMe · 11/03/2019 12:20

I bought a man's Jaeger suit, practically unworn, for a fiver. I made it into a fab handbag with lots of pockets, including the trouser front pockets, the jacket inside pockets, the trouser back pockets and the cuffs on the strap.

Disney2 · 11/03/2019 12:22

A Fat Face jacket that looks brand new for £10

Babyfoal · 11/03/2019 12:30

Crystal vases, bowls and glasses. Never found any clothing, although I do look.

Theyhaveallbeenused2 · 11/03/2019 12:33

Baby Bjorn Carrier £5
Mayoral baby shoes brand new £2
A lovely leather jacket £8

AnxietyDream · 11/03/2019 12:54

Brand new £30 boardgame for £3.
Crockery/cutlery for 10p a piece.
10p toddler books.
Lots of nice clothes in the £1-2 range.

I avoid the big name charities that overcharge (i.e. Oxfam) and go to independents that don't have much storage so want to turn over stock quickly.

thecatsthecats · 11/03/2019 13:03

£2 for a Louis Vuitton handbag.

I'm afraid I sold it online for £120.

Goldenphoenix · 11/03/2019 13:54

Love a good mooch around a charity shop and love that it is better for the environment (and a total bargain!). Have had loads of lovely stuff but my breadmaker for £5 and Jaeger wool coat for £4 stand out for me. It's so nice not knowing what you'll find, will have to go on my day off tomorrow now you've all mentioned it!

Frickssake · 11/03/2019 15:45

Just wondering where the depraved charity shop is! ( Chuckles)

iklboo · 11/03/2019 15:50

A cuckoo clock for £3, sold on eBay for £65 (made a donation to the charity)

A gorgeous pashmina which is lovely and warm for £2

Annuals (Beano, Dandy etc) from DH's birth year

Some lovely jewellery and compacts

DoodleLab · 11/03/2019 16:25

Pair of Green Shoes (ethical handmade shoes from Dartmoor), £10. Looked them up and they are £190 new Shock

Very stylish black Cos blouse, £4

Gorgeous White Stuff tunic top, £6

White Company hooded cardigan, £5

Amazing, unusual hand knitted People Tree cardigan, £9

TheWernethWife · 11/03/2019 18:09

Leeds2 · 11/03/2019 18:23

I buy loads of children's books, usually very reasonably priced (apart from Oxfam, where I no longer visit) and often on offer at various shops eg 3 for a £1.

Looneytune253 · 11/03/2019 20:30

I bought a superdry coat for my daughter for £6.99 and she had loads of wear out of it and then sold it on fb for £10 lol

theheatherjane1 · 11/03/2019 21:01

This weekend I bought a pair of J Crew ankle boots for £12 and a cracking
Marc Jacobs yellow jacket, also for £12.
Oh, and a weird ELC trike thing for the toddler to trash the garden on.
Happiness.
