To be really hurt and pissed off by my friend

Okay -the old pelvic floor muscles are not quite what they were -I’m working on them tho. But I still like to wear a light pad “just in case” . I was out on Friday nite with my new ish partner, my friend and her bloke. Evening was going well but for whatever reason she felt the need to ask my partner if I’d told him about my Tena lady pads yet -dead silence .The conversation moved on -but all a bit awkward . I feel pretty bloody humiliated and reluctant to want to speak to her again. She’d had a few glasses of wine but even so ....My partner hasn’t mentioned it -I guess he wouldn’t but I feel like crap ☹️

She's not a friend, She's a bitch!
I'd fuck her off tbh.

Holidayshopping · 10/03/2019 14:16

OMG, I have heard some nasty things, but that takes the biscuit. What a total bitch.

What are you planning to do?

GetOffTheTableMabel · 10/03/2019 14:19

That is such a genuinely unpleasant thing to do to a friend that it wouldn’t surprise me if your new boyfriend thought it was not true and was just an ill-judged/weird joke. After all, who on earth would do such a thing to an actual friend. I often think MN can be a bit quick to advise posters to drop a friend but this woman is not your friend. Just never speak to her or waste another minute of your time thinking about her ever again.

SummersB · 10/03/2019 14:25

Wow how nasty! That woman is not a friend! I would have been mortified.

Iloveacurry · 10/03/2019 14:25

The only thing she’s really done is made herself look like a complete bitch, hence the dead silence. If I was you, I wouldn’t be contacting her again.

MrsTWH · 10/03/2019 14:27

Yep I’d drop her immediately! She’s no friend, she knew exactly what she was doing OP.

GlassSuppers · 10/03/2019 14:27

Get rid OP.

You don't need people like that in your life.
Your poor DP as well, she embarrassed the both of you to get her kicks. Not nice at all.

NannyKasey · 10/03/2019 14:28

I would have punched her, but I'm a menopausal old bag, who gave up giving a fuck a few years ago Grin.

Elizabeth2019 · 10/03/2019 14:28

Definitely horrible behaviour from your “friend” - I’d be ghosting her tbh

emmaluggs · 10/03/2019 14:30

Not unreasonable at all.

You deserve better, drop her. She sounds jealous.

SurgeHopper · 10/03/2019 14:43

I'd have said yeah it's fine, how's your new colostomy bag going

diddl · 10/03/2019 14:44

You shouldn't feel like crap-she should.

What a nasty person she is.

Shame you & your partner didn't just walk away.

Still, you can now!

Crinkle77 · 10/03/2019 14:49

She is a jealous spiteful cow.

SnowyAlpsandPeaks · 10/03/2019 14:51

I wouldn’t call that a ‘friend’....

QueenofallIsee · 10/03/2019 14:51

She is an utter cunt, unworthy of your friendship. Drop her like a hot brick

ahtellthee · 10/03/2019 14:52

I would not speak to her again and I would message her, explain why, then block.

Bitch.

katykins85 · 10/03/2019 14:53

What an awfully unkind, vindictive thing to do Sad. You don't need "friends" like this OP.

Sparklesocks · 10/03/2019 14:53

She sounds like the sort of person who throws people on the bus or tears them down to get a laugh/attention. Get rid, and I’m sorry she embarrassed you.

Sparklesocks · 10/03/2019 14:54

^under the bus

Shockers · 10/03/2019 14:55

What a strange and unpleasant person she is.

AmIOTTconcerned · 10/03/2019 15:00

He probably has no idea what she's talking about. Or he didn't want to entertain the silly woman.

Sounds like she is jealous of you and wanted to humiliate you. Do you want someone like this in your life?

bunintheoven88 · 10/03/2019 15:02

My so called 'friend' did something similar to me on my birthday night out no less, tried to make an absolute tit of me in front of my DP and then flirted outrageously with him to boot.

He told her she was making a show of herself Grin

bunintheoven88 · 10/03/2019 15:03

She is NOT a friend OP, swerve the bitch!

thedisorganisedmum · 10/03/2019 15:04

Unless she is 8 years old, she is a jealous bitch and she is not your friend.

No one would make a joke, no one would fait to understand how embarrassing it is.

I do not accept the "alcohol" excuse. You fall down accidentally when you are drunk, your personality does not change.

SadOtter · 10/03/2019 15:04

That's a really crappy thing to do no matter how much she'd had to drink, I'd be reconsidering the friendship. On the upside it seems your partner isn't bothered and didn't rise to your 'friends' crap.
