To ask how to tame my frizzy hair?

Help please with getting my wayward locks under control! I have been through a ridiculous number of shampoos and conditioners that have made absolutely no difference and I feel a bit out of my depth with products. So your best tried and tested buys for smooth, non flyaway tresses would be amazing. I have coloured hair past my shoulders and the frizziness has definitely coincided with me starting to dye it around 4 years ago. Many thanks!

Elasticised did nothing for my hair I got better results with coconut oil.

Curly girl method. The basic principles work equally well for straight, wavy or curly hair, and you can follow it exactly or relax some rules as you wish.

The absolute basic aim of CG is to stop drying your hair out with drying alcohols/sulfates, and stop coating your dried out hair with silicone that stops any moisture getting in. I have been CG-ish for 18 months or so and have relaxed to just avoiding silicones.

Once your hair is silicone free, you just conditioner-only wash and avoid heat as much as possible. I also use a spray leave in conditioner (no silicones again) and use lube (yes, that kind) to reduce frizz. After conditioner-only washing I spray with the leave in, squeeze in plenty of lube and then let it dry/diffuse dry. The lube dries slightly crunchy, so once completely dry scrunch out the crunch and you'll be left with frizz free hair!

I tried the Brazilian blow dry. Cost a fortune and didn't work very well/for very long. I noticed a slight reduction in frizz, which made straightening easier but I still needed to straighten after every wash to avoid frizz. CG means I don't need to straighten to eliminate frizz.

Another vote for the curly girl method. It has changed my hair from unmanageable frizzy mess to soft, defined and frizz free waves. My hair has never been in better condition either.
