To ask for help with baby name

I’m due a dd2 soon and I’m getting stupidly stressed about a name, I know it’s silly and I am trying to relax about it but for some strange reason it’s keeping me awake at nights. Dd1 was named after someone very close to me so there was never any debate to her name so nothing this time seems to feel right. And I can’t help thinking not being able to name her somehow reflects on my feelings for this baby although I know it’s stupid

Can anyone make suggestions of feminine an unusual names as I really can’t even think anymore

If you have any that you think are OK then Google 'similar names to ...' and baby name sites will come up with lots of suggestions. Wish I'd done that!

Laura is a lovely feminine name

Maybe you should look at names on your family tree and see if there are any that you like

Leaving the actual name aside, your indecision doesn't reflect on how you feel about your baby or how much you already do, and will, love her. Although there are some people who've always known what they will call their children, most parents to be spend most of the pregnancy debating names. Plenty of babies aren't named until well after birth - in fact some parents take the view they can't choose a name until they have met the baby. Doesn't mean they love their children any less.

My two DS were both born over a month premature, and in neither case had we decided on the names. Took us until 5 or 6 days after birth. Drive family and friends round the twist, but we were a bit overwhelmed. (And if I had my time over, I'd still give at least one of them a different name!)

We had a name for dc 2. Took one look at him and decided he didn’t suit that name. Chose a new name for him instead.
