To need a diet that works

Just to warn you, this will not be easy. I've tried and failed at just about everything, I can't cook, I dislike a lot of foods and I think I have a bit of a weird thing where once I eat something I struggle to stop.

Historically I've done best on meal replacement plans.

Help!?

Ie

Crisp - swap for flavoured rice crackers

Chips - swap for slimming world chips same with gravy and their stir fry sauces. They even do a curry one.

Custard - swap for vanilla no fat yoghurt

Ice cream - swap for breyers or halo ice cream. About 300 calls for the whole tub

Kebab - swap the dinner for chicken or lamb chunks.

Cake - google slimming eats and they do easy as fuck mug cakes

Pizza - have a look at lo dough. Whole pizza for less than 300 calories if you use 50% less fat grated cheese. You can't even tell it's a healthy pizza. You can make pasties aswell using tinned stewing steak and carrot and swede you can buy ready chopped.

Lo dough is amazing for me as I love pizza. I can still have one for me tea and lunch and not go over my calories if I wanted to.

Sugar - swap for sweetener

Have one day off a week but don't go fucking wild and have a full dominoes and a tub of Ben and Jerry's and two bottles of wine Grin

None of these little changes are hardships.

You need a set of electronic scales. Once
You start logging what you eat and how many calls are in things, you will naturally start to become wiser in your portion control.

I know if I want a Dairy milk in the afternoon I can't waste My calories on a bacon butty. So I'd have an egg white omelette with ham or turkey bacon instead.

You have all this support in this thread just for you and helping you to change something your unhappy with. Be a shame to waste it all and do nothing.

You can still be happy and not eat shit.
Stop seeing "comfort food" and unhealthy foods as a treat. It's really not. It's putting shit in your body that's no good for you. Unless you learn to do it in moderation.

If you don't like cooking and you do better with something narrow and prescriptive I would do your own version of the delivered to your door diets by buying calorie counted ready meals and just adding fruit and veg (frozen/tinned if you prefer)

Example

Breakfast - Oat so simple porridge sachet + piece of fruit

Lunch - calorie counted sandwich or salad (I use 350 cal max) plus piece of fruit and/ or yogurt or some soup

Dinner - calorie counted ready meal (say 300-450 cal) plus huge plate of veg - you can buy ready portioned microwaveable sachets if you prefer

I also allow myself treats but I only buy ready portioned low cal treats e.g. Snack size choc bars, KP snaps, fibre one bars) but if you can't trust yourself not to eat the lot then just buy fruit.

This is what works for me as filling up on veg means I'm not hungry but there is some limit on portion sizes whereas something like slimming world I just end up with massive plates of pasta - and low carb would send me down the chip shop!

I'm also choosing meals I like to eat so it doesn't feel like a hardship.

16:8.

No rules on what you eat at all. Just change when you eat...it’s that easy.

I dropped 2 stone in 6 months about 4.5 years ago when I discovered this and I’ve used 16:8 to maintain ever since.
