What makes you laugh out loud-Netflix?

I’m just coming out of a really low point in my life and I found really immersing myself in as much laugh out loud (to me) stuff I could find on Netflix really helped!

So far I’ve discovered White Gold and Boarderline and some stand up though I think I must have a niche sense of humor as a lot of the things perceived as being funny left me cold.

Wondering what makes you actually laugh out loud, or even give a little snigger?

It’s always sunny in Philadelphia if you like dark comedy.

I came on to say It's Always Sunny butLolkittens beat me to it. Also Brooklyn 99 is Parks and Rec on Netflix or just Prime?

JoyceDivision · 09/02/2019 14:36

Norsemen

Very silly inappropriate comedy

Another vote for Grace and Frankie. It is absolutely fabulous with superb performances from some hollywood greats.

YogaWannabe · 09/02/2019 15:06

Oh I’m delighted with all these suggestions, thank you!

Parks and recreation is amazon prime but it is a very good shout.

ScrumpyCrack · 09/02/2019 15:06

I just can’t get on with Grace and Frankie. I watched all of season 1 hoping it would get better but by season 2, I could no longer stand Frankie’s ridiculous babyish whining.

Such a shame as I’m in need of a new series, preferably one with lots of seasons.

Lolkittens5 · 09/02/2019 15:07

Also you might have watched it when it was on but ‘the thick of it’ is hilarious and on Netflix

Loved white gold, can't believe it's not widely known. The job lot is quite funny. Will try the other recommendations.

“Parks and recreation is amazon prime but it is a very good shout.”

Funnily, this has popped up so much with so many friends when I’ve been sniffing out suggestions so I’m guessing it would be right up my street. I just deleted my amazon prime account but it might be worth getting back as I actually didn’t know you could watch things on it Blush

Schitts Creek - I binge watched this during a low time and it was a great pick me up.

Agree with Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

CharDeeMacDennis · 09/02/2019 15:15

Another vote for Brooklyn 99, The Good Place, and my all-time favourite, Always Sunny In Philly. I didn't love it straight away, but I'm now a die hard fan (took my username from there). Have just finished my umpteenth full rewatch.

TheValeyard · 09/02/2019 15:15

How I Met Your Mother - binged it while off work with flu last week.

Schitt's Creek and Big Mouth are great for a binge! Film-wise How To Be Single is very funny, The Duff is too but I think it's aimed at teens and I'm just trying to hang on to my youth.. Blush

bibbitybobbityyhat · 09/02/2019 15:44

Definitely Kath & Kim. Am so happy to have found it and watch it again after all these years.

MissMacaron · 09/02/2019 15:45
