Recently got into reading again and want to ask for suggestions!

I've just finished The Couple Next Door by Shari Lapena after it being recommended by a friend.

Needless to say I was so disappointed with the ending Sad

TIA

Pillars of the Earth (and subsequent follow ups) - I do love most Ken Follet books though

Shantaram

Alex Woods vs the Universe

All the Light We Cannot See

PP mention Robin Hobb - I echo this recommendation to start with Assassins Apprentice

Neverwhere, Neil Gaiman

One Hundred Year Old Man Who Climbed Out of the Window and Disappeared

Anything written by CJ Sansom, Conn Iggulden, Bernard Cornwell

Power of Dog

How to Stop Time, Matt Haig

Really I should link you my goodreads profile and you can work through the list of 5 star books

I like crime thriller too OP! And am actually just starting the couple next door so disappointed to see you didn't like the ending Sad

I really enjoyed one recently called 'The Tall Man' by Phoebe Locke.

I also enjoy a lot of Stephen King stuff if you're interested in things outside of the normal murder mystery type stuff.

If you like crime books on the kindle;

Changling by Matt Wesolowski, his other 3 books also good. Changling probably the best one.

Long bright river by Liz Moore

Rattle and collector by Fiona Cummins

Nine elms by Robert Bryndza

Puppet show and black summer by MW Craven

The whisper man by Alex North

I love Stephen King too!

Emma Kennedy - The tent, the bucket and me. This book helped me laugh in hospital as I was having a mastectomy. It is the funniest thing I've ever read.

Marian Keyes - Rachel's Holiday

Armitstead Maupin - Tales of the city series

Another recommendation for "Snow falling on Cedars" - a wonderful book.
Great Expectations by Dickens, but also Bleak House, a murder mystery, thriller, romance, fabulous characters and very moving.
