I wonder why they lowered the price? Confused

GahWhatever · 28/01/2019 09:54

I'm loving the elf shoes but would pay £20 or so for a fun party, perhaps. (I have a reputation for oddness over style)
The Wookie shoes though!! Or are they Cousin It shoes? Either way, outstanding start to the week! Thanks both!

oohyoudevilyou · 28/01/2019 09:55

They're completely bonkers - I love them! But at £332 (sale price!) I'll pass - can't see how they'd suit my lifestyle in suburban Northants anyway.

silkpyjamasallday · 28/01/2019 09:58

Now I'm a big fan of ugly shoes, I've recently been rocking socks and furry Birkenstocks Grin but even I wouldn't consider any of those monstrosities!

IlluminatiParty · 28/01/2019 09:59

I've just realised I could use these to terrify my sons into good behaviour by threatening to wear them next time I do school pickup.

I'd probably end up with a trail of kids behind me like the bloody pied piper though and not sure I want the responsibility.

Aladdin goes chav.

Purplecatshopaholic · 28/01/2019 10:04

Cant see the original picture unfortunately. Liking the Gucci guinea pig loafers though - might have to get me a pair of those!

MadameDD · 28/01/2019 10:05

Spanish designer?! I thought they had taste but some of Zara's designs are lacking...

no wonder they're in the sale! :-D

RogueV · 28/01/2019 10:06

Amazing

NotAColdWomanHenry · 28/01/2019 10:07

:o I love how the blurb writer describes "The unmistakably curly toes" - they were totally at a loss for what to say.

I've just realised I could use these to terrify my sons into good behaviour by threatening to wear them next time I do school pickup.

Genius. I threaten to come into school doing a dance and singing "I'm

GabsAlot · 28/01/2019 10:07

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 28/01/2019 10:08

Bilbo they just need some googly eyes and you're sorted !

The Elf Shoes need spikes on the ends for the Ultimate Commuter Shoe

Glitteryfrog · 28/01/2019 10:08

They're great.
Like Naboo from Mighty Boosh's Shamen New Balance trainers. Grin

MrsTommyBanks · 28/01/2019 10:09

Good grief. £332!

Auntpetunia2015 · 28/01/2019 10:11

SuchAToDo · 28/01/2019 10:14

😂 they look like Christmas elf shoes

No doubt all it will take is one influential celebrate to wear a pair and the next think you know they will be the next trend

SuchAToDo · 28/01/2019 10:14

*celebrity

bizzers · 28/01/2019 10:14

What are THOSE?!

BlooperReel · 28/01/2019 10:25

Over £300 for the privilege of looking like an extra from Elf.

Chewinggumwalk · 28/01/2019 10:28

Bilbo - those look like someone kicked two Guinea Pigs up the arse Shock

Threewheeler1 · 28/01/2019 10:30

Thanks for this thread OP Grin !!
I think looking like a court jester could really help with people taking me seriously in middle age.
I want to know how you walk up the stairs without tripping over? Feet at 10 to 2?

Now I'm getting them flashing up in the ad box!!! Grin

IlluminatiParty · 28/01/2019 10:36

I only saw them because they were flashing up in the mumsnet ad box when I came on the site this morning! God only knows why the adbot picked on me, my browsing history must indicate that I identify as elf on the pigging shelf or something.

OP posts:
IlluminatiParty · 28/01/2019 10:37

Yes ThreeWheeler1 you'd clearly have to walk up stairs bandy legged. Which would only add to the allure IMHO.

DontCallMeCharlotte · 28/01/2019 10:41

Apparently the curly toes were devised by bedouins and the like to stop them tripping over all the rug they have in their tents.

Don't ask me how I know that.

Auntpetunia2015 There's a tiny (but fortunately too poor) part of me that actually loves those Versace ones!
