What comment have you read, maybe a long time ago, that you still remember?
I still remember one MNer insisting a 4 year old should be able to walk a mile in 12 minutes. Mine are obviously slackers.

On a PFB thread, a poster dropped their phone on baby's head. She of course wanted to know if they should rush to hospital - could not decide even after she and DH had been repeatedly whacking themselves with the phone to figure out how severe it might have been Grin

You’ve got to make time for the important things Kath

By the poster who was stealth decorating her neighbours No Parking sign.
Really still cheers me up when I’m feeling grumpy

I am forever grateful to whoever coined "Spooney Fucker". Like nobel prize grateful. It was like discovering the word shadenfreude - suddenly there was a word/phrase for something you had felt deeply but had been unable to express.

I do remember a food thread (lunch boxes/kids eating fruit kind of thing) where a poster said that eating an apple or orange was the exact same as eating cheap sweets - no difference at all.

WatcherOfTheNight · 26/01/2019 22:14

I've laughed over many of these but my all time fave is Spartacus!

joanmcc · 26/01/2019 22:14

I like to swear as much as the next fucker, but I do think that phrases like "fuck off to fuck", "do fuck off, dear", "off you fuck", or any of the myriad of unimaginative phrases based around these, while all probably quite funny the first few times they were used respectively, get very boring very fast, and you can just feel the smugness radiating off whoever types them as though they're some sort of genius playing the MN trump card.

Scandaloso · 26/01/2019 22:15

A food one where someone said M&Ms were more nutritious than a potato. Because potatoes have zero nutritional value apparently.

Mine is one on the thread about the hair bobble plate that had fallen down the back of the toilet.

Someone suggested trying a fish slice and sex lube to slide it out. I was on a packed train at the time and spat coffee out all over the table in front of me BlushGrin

Parthenope · 26/01/2019 22:18

I continue to be bizarrely compelled by the ones which express total horror at tradesmen defecating in your loo, visitors defectaing in your loo, and that anyone, ever, would do so at work or in a public loo.

Luglio · 26/01/2019 22:19

'A man is not the prize of a woman's life.'

I have to restrain myself from posting it on just about every thread in Relationships.

CoachBombay · 26/01/2019 22:21

I don't think I've been around long enough for any memorable ones, but some of these have made.me chuckle 😂

The are you Scottish one, in reply to two women in wheelchairs fighting literally made me lol.

Proper crying tears of laughter at that OMG

'Dick is abundant'

On a thread where a poster was fixating on a not very impressive sounding ex. It's simple but it's true. Dick is abundant and that very average man (and his average dick) are not worth your heartbreak.

pictish · 26/01/2019 22:27

It was, “Dick is abundant and of low value.”, I think.

A couple of posters were upset over it. Poor menz.

Scandaloso · 26/01/2019 22:29

Even better, pictish!

RoboticSealpup · 26/01/2019 22:31

I've read several times that some people apparently clean their shitty toilet brush in the fucking dishwasher. I'm not sure if it's a wind-up.

JuniLoolaPalooza · 26/01/2019 22:32

A few hours after having an emergency c-section I decided to look up how soon I could drive.
One commenter said 'I don't know what all the fuss is about, I had my c-section then drove myself home the next day'.

That was the point I realised how much crap is spouted on this board but I still love it nonetheless.

WisdomOfCrowds · 26/01/2019 22:36

I was coming here to post the same Scandaloso, "dick is abundant and of low value" really stuck with me.

I first found MN after angrily googling something like "my partner didn't clean the dishes" and came across a MN thread of a poster complaining she'd had a lie in and come down to a badly done cleaning effort. Like, he'd emptied the dishwasher but put it all away in the wrong place, stuff like that. She was asking "AIBU to make him do it again and do it right?" The first post said "YABU, he'd already done a lot for you and now you want him to do more?" And that was followed by about 10 pages of posters saying "for you? He hasn't done anything for her, it's not her job that he's graciously helping out at". It was like a light went on in my brain. That was the beginning of my MN driven feminist personal revolution.

KC225 · 26/01/2019 22:37

It was a thread asking if hot tubs were naff. A poster described a hot tub as a:-

A hot swirling pool of chlamydia soup.

Aprilshowersarecomingsoon · 26/01/2019 22:40

I thought it was off you pop cunty chops?

DaanSaaf · 26/01/2019 22:42

Tequila I think you've merged two (very funny) threads into one there. Iirc, sex lube and a fish slice were to do with something stuck on the hob. I think!

LavateLasManos · 26/01/2019 22:44

"It's been a Hugh Fearnly-ShittingFuck of a day"
Made me howl and I try to shoehorn it in as much as I can into conversations about shitty days

justasking111 · 26/01/2019 22:45

These are so funny but the beaker is still my favourite. There was a funny thread about a woman who found a secret door when they were renovating an old house, the imaginations on here romped away as to what could be behind it.

Aimarge · 26/01/2019 22:48

I'm still disturbed by toilet chorizo on a pregnancy test [sick]

justasking111 · 26/01/2019 22:50

Some of the predictive text errors, make me laugh out loud.
