AIBU to be impressed by this poster at my GP practice? The reference to organic food made me laugh.

"Yes Andro I think I agree, the poster makes me uneasy. Firstly I'm pissed off about the rubella bit - when I was young you had the rubella jab at about 12 y and it probably (in those days) covered you for most of your reproductive life. It was the NHS that changed it to a child having the MMR so young and therefore being more likely to be at risk of rubella when pregnant even if vaccinated."

Doesn't make sense at all. If having the rubella Jan covered you for most of your fertile years, say up to 45 then, how are you going to be more at risk when pregnant if you had it aged 6? It stops working at 39?

Leaving aside you can have them in adulthood or teens.

But I suppose that's my point. Why are we giving babies vaccinations for diseases that will only be relevant to them as adults because by the time they need that protection the immunity from the vaccine may have diminished? And yes why are they mentioned on this poster when the grown up children can choose to get the vaccines for themselves when needed?

That’s an awful sign IMO and I don’t believe it was put up by a qualified health professional.

It’s not going to persuade the anti-vaxxers but it will cause a lot of people unnecessary anxiety.

I like the poster but maybe a bit heavy reading for the play area.
