YABU. Snow is great and we rarely get snow before christmas.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 22/01/2019 16:34

Yanbu, it’s just a nuisance after Christmas....unless skiing somewhere obviously.

JellySlice · 22/01/2019 16:35

Tell that to the schoolkids an hour ago. They would not have agreed with you.

WhentheRabbitsWentWild · 22/01/2019 16:50

Yea YABU

PuppyMonkey · 22/01/2019 16:54

It’s ALWAYS exciting at first when snow falls.

Then after a few days when it disrupts all your plans and it’s too cold to do anything and the schools are STILL closed, it can bugger off.

DuggeeHugs · 22/01/2019 16:55

YABVU

Snow before Christmas is nice but rare

Snow in January/February is even more exciting because it livens up the dreary months ❄

chillpizza · 22/01/2019 16:56

We never seem to get a good snow. Maybe a dust. The children’s school also never ever shuts. All the others locally shut for snow dust but not ours.

Sirzy · 22/01/2019 16:57

Snow is always a nuisance. Horrible stuff

DonCorleoneTheThird · 22/01/2019 16:57

YABU

We are going skiing next month, I need snow!

StealthPolarBear · 22/01/2019 16:58

Yanbu but it's also pointless before Christmas
Hate the stuff

whatsthecomingoverthehill · 22/01/2019 16:59

Hardly living up to your name there SPB!

OutPinked · 22/01/2019 17:00

YANBU, it’s an inconvenience.

Comeymemo · 22/01/2019 17:01

I’m pretty sure in London (don’t know for rest of UK) you are statistically more likely to have a white Easter than a white Xmas. You may need to rest your internal calendar ☃️

Comeymemo · 22/01/2019 17:02

*reset, not rest

howabout · 22/01/2019 17:03

YABU
Get it before Christmas and it hangs around and gets icy and messy. After Christmas the sun comes out more during the day so it melts away. Get it on a Friday evening. snowman on Saturday and can be all gone by work / school on Monday.

poorbuthappy · 22/01/2019 17:04

The snow in March last year was epic here in South Wales. All schools shut and we were sent home from work at lunchtime on the Thursday and told not to come to work on Friday.
We basically spent the next 2.5 days either in the pub / having a snowball fight or sledging / in someone's house having a do.
Was like Christmas mark 2 without the pressure.

yearinyearout · 22/01/2019 17:06

Love a good snow day. I'm really hoping for some just for my puppy to play in 😁

Grace212 · 22/01/2019 17:06

YABU because snow is always pointless.

Greyhound22 · 22/01/2019 17:12

YABU

It's my Birthday and I squealed with delight when I saw he snow. It's the only possibly good potential for a January one.

Grace212 · 22/01/2019 17:13

happy birthday Greyhound - I grant special exemption for you to enjoy the snow Grin Cake

GooodMythicalMorning · 22/01/2019 17:15

I find it an inconvenience at all times, we as a country just aren't equipped for it.

DontCallMeCharlotte · 22/01/2019 17:23

I bloody hate snow all the time. Now I have to drive in it and live at the top of a steep hill. Bastard stuff.

(Selfishly) it would be different if it started as soon as I get in on a Friday night and then be gone by Monday morning but, oh no, always midweek. Preferably during the day. Maximum disruption. Wank.

bluetongue · 22/01/2019 17:31

YABU. Give me snow any day over the weather in Australia at the moment. 45 degrees on Thursday Shock Angry

Rockbird · 22/01/2019 17:33

Who says it's minus fairy lights....

MereDintofPandiculation · 22/01/2019 17:35

Snow in January/February is even more exciting because it livens up the dreary months This! I get through winter as follows: bit of greyness and drizzle, Bonfire Night; bit of greyness and drizzle, Christmas; bit of greyness and drizzle, Snow in February - and then we're through the worst of it and the greyness and drizzle will soon be over. If there's no snow in February I am really depressed by March, and find it hard to shake off until June.
