My DP is really starting to annoy me now he has been ill with one virus after another since last October typical winter bugs he had a chest infection just before Christmas that he had treated with antibiotics but since he got ill all he’s done is moan and complain and act like he’s had deaths door I felt sorry for him to begin with but now he’s pushing my sympathy to it’s limits. He went to the doctors today and basically got told that his tonsils are a bit inflamed and to suck it up he was given a nasal spray for hay fever and sinuses and sent on his way but since he’s been back he’s putting on the annoying ill voice and walking round in his dressing gown I’m about ready to smother him with a pillow while he’s asleep. He has a really disgusting habit of blowing his nose on his dirty clothes sick of telling him to use tissues. Am sick of listening to him moaning I got sick over Christmas and sucked it up and got on with it.

Stop enabling these pricks and look after yourself when you are sick. Dont suck it up and power through let them deal with the slack. Men are not more important than women we are equal!

Fuuuuuucckkkinghell DancingBear unclench will you?!!

The Internet equivalent of being told to cheer up it might never happen

thedancingbear · 22/01/2019 09:53

Stop taking life so serious etc.

First resort of the bully when he or she is pulled up on their behaviour.

Thanks, easy.

Shootfirstaskquestionslater · 22/01/2019 09:54

Thank you @eadyandy101 I’ve never heard of that beer before.

@ShatnersWig thank you I can see why it would upset some people because it probably does come across like I’m making a joke out of something that is really serious and not a joke at all.

@thedancingbear you know the meaning behind your name but someone who doesn’t can very easily take it as your promoting dancing bears. You don’t have to change it just be aware that someone might take it the wrong way bit like you have taken what was only meant as a joke seriously and I didn’t expect anyone take what I’m saying seriously am just getting annoyed with my partner and his antics at the minute.

Hahaha lol @DonaldDucksTowel.

@Meangirls36 thank you I think I might try that because I seem to of become his nurse while he walks round in a dressing gown complaining my sympathy is wearing thin.

I wanted to smother mine with his last round of man flu. Get him to use a vitamin D spray. Works a treat to boost immunity.

Shootfirstaskquestionslater · 22/01/2019 10:58

Haha lol thank you @MightMoose its nice to know that I'm not alone. I will do thank you anything to stop him from ending up ill and doing the annoying sick voice.

Literally can't say anything without someone getting offended. It's sad really

gamerchick · 22/01/2019 11:25

Me thinks some on this thread have their own dressing gown of doom. Wink

Have you tried the entertainment. Like 'here he comes in his dressing gown of doom, doing the shuffle dance and poky out tounge cough ready to snot all over clothes'.

In fact no, the snotting on the clothes thing more than vile and disrespectful I'd go straight for ripping the piss every time he opens his gob. Mercilessly. Dirty bastard.

TrixieFranklin · 22/01/2019 12:43

Fuck me they're about at the moment

Shootfirstaskquestionslater · 22/01/2019 12:50

@hatethinkingofusernames I know there is always one person that has to be offened by something.

@gamerchick Yeah I agree with you there. Haha that made me laugh so much I will try that. Haha definetly going to do that he is such a dirty sod so maybe I should rip the piss out of him for things might stop him from doing it.

I thought this thread was going to be about snoring. 🤔

IsItThatTimeAgain · 22/01/2019 13:08

DancingBear, I found another thread for you...

Shootfirstaskquestionslater · 22/01/2019 16:16

@IsItThatTimeAgain sorry hope it’s not too much of a disappointment.

Haha lol am sure she will have a lot of fun making comments about DV on there.

@dancingbear
It’s you who is gaslighting. This in itself is inappropriate behaviour and often can be related to dv.

The op portrayed an image to us, a humerous one of her smothering her dh with a pillow. This was amusing because her account of the recent events and her frustration is something many of us can relate to.
Her post also came across as tender. She did not display spite or genuine aggression just humour to make light of a frustrating situation.
In fact the op has done the exact opposite to what you are suggesting. Dv perpetrators would not be posting on here as they feel very justified in knowing exactly how to deal with ‘their’ frustrations.

I regularly say to my children playfully ‘I’m going to nibble your toes or bite your chubby bottom’ but I certainly don’t abuse my children or am I making fun of children who are sadly abused.

Professional psychologists, hv, etc recognise we humans feel an element of frustration, anger etc with others on occasion. Laughing it off is a very healthy way of managing things.

I understand you feel strongly, and for that I commend you, but I can’t help but feel you’d receive a much more positive response and increase awareness by perhaps initiating a new thread specifically regarding domestic violence.

Pfnb · 22/01/2019 22:51

dancingbear is a huge porn site.

Shootfirstaskquestionslater · 26/01/2019 23:43

Thank you @ozziewozzie am glad someone noted the humour in my post.

@Pfnb haha lol Grin wonder how long it will take them to change their name now.

Blows his nose on his clothes? Eats the hair out of his ears? Where do you ladies find these charming cromagnons from?
