Considering I'm not super rich (average)....

Have you checked you can't get the same bra cheaper? I'm am 32FF/30G and usually pay £9-£15 for excellent bras from excellent makes from Amazon/eBay/Brastop etc etc.

So if you want to pay £60 YANBU, but you could probably get the same thing much cheaper.

GobblersKnob · 20/01/2019 16:57

I have upward of 30 bras (addict) but I really don't think I've ever paid more than £20, generally much less.

Titsywoo · 20/01/2019 16:59

If they are good quality and will last then yes. Make sure you hand wash them as they will last longer. I spent £170 on 2 bras from rigby and peller last month but they are very good quality so it's worth it to me.

MumW · 20/01/2019 17:00

If you've found a bra that fits well, is comfortable and supportive and you can afford it then definitely go for it.

PossiblyPFB · 20/01/2019 17:01

YANBU I recently was measured and found a particular bra that just fit me so well, I bought it in all the colours and threw all my old ill-fitting bras out. I even found some of the same brand on Amazon for even less. I now have 4, plus a well fitting strapless. It was expensive but worth it - I look and feel better for having them properly fitted as have an unusual-ish size. I know they fit, so as long as I don’t change size or they stop making them I won’t have anything different!

Aeroflotgirl · 20/01/2019 17:02

I go for the non wired bra, they are £34 easy on e bay or Amazon, like fantasie, Royce

TestingTestingWonTooFree · 20/01/2019 17:04

Check they don’t have it cheaper at brastop and then go for it. Bravissimo’s customer service is great. They gave me a refund on a bra that I was fitted into and turned out to be a bad fit. Not many places would do that I don’t think.

HRTpatch · 20/01/2019 17:06

32 G here and I pay about £80 a bra.

SusanChurchouse · 20/01/2019 17:08

Belle Lingerie is good for discounted bras. I generally like side support Fantasie bras which come in at about £40. Pennies on a cost per wear basis as I only have 2 that fit me currently 🙄

Freshprincess · 20/01/2019 17:11

30FF, so £25-£35 is a normal price for me. My sports bra was £45.

Shesellsseashellsontheseashore · 20/01/2019 17:11

I've bought good named bras recently but got good deals on them on websites. Try brastop, lazeme or lingerie outlet store.

Nunyabusiness · 20/01/2019 17:13

Don't underestimate the value of a well fitting bra - YANBU

MrsMcW · 20/01/2019 17:15

I wish 2 bras cost me £60. I'm 34GG so getting cheapie bras from Primark or M&S isn't an option. But my blood boils every time I have to buy a new bra and kiss goodbye to another 40quid...

Topttumps · 20/01/2019 17:21

Yes totally nbu.

Ollivander84 · 20/01/2019 17:22

Standard price for bigger bras, I'm a 33JJ/K so.. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Didactylos · 20/01/2019 17:22

If they fit and are supportive then absolutely get them! £30 each is not much if they are a good fit.
Its easy to baulk at the price up front but the difference between a poor fit and a good one is amazing, and worth paying for, and if they fit you well they will get frequent use.The other thing if money is really tight is keep an eye on sites like figleaves etc and try and buy exactly the same bra in the sales so you know it will fit.
I wasted so many years struggling with cheap fourboob, badly fitted unsupportive bras, and buying new cheap ones all the time because the old cheap ones werent comfy or good enough. Complete false economy.

Anondonkey · 20/01/2019 17:23

I would spend that but I would make sure I bought them in store with a proper fitting. Priceless!

CycleWoman · 20/01/2019 18:23

I have no choice but to spend £35 to £45 on a single bra because they are bloody massive and I need proper construction to keep them under control! It’s so expensive but worth it as I look better and am more comfortable than in cheap ones.

To make them last longer use one of those laundry bags and put them on a hand wash cycle. It really does keep them in good condition longer.

Ifigotherewillbedouble · 20/01/2019 18:25

Another one here agreeing that Bravissimo is well worth the money. They also do a system where you get a free bra for every 10 you buy. I have 2 daughters who also shop there so it soon racks (unintended pun!) up

SheepyFun · 20/01/2019 18:28

I spent that on a single bra. I'm wearing it now! It's usually the most expensive item I'm wearing (OK, shoes were a bit more, but I have one pair that I wear for everything), and definitely worth it! I'm a 34G, so something comfortable is never going to be cheap.

Clarinet1 · 20/01/2019 18:29

Being of the "larger persuasion" I totally agree with PP that a good bra is worth every penny. It is almost always the most expensive thing I am wearing including shoes and coat - sometimes by quite a margin!

Aeroflotgirl · 20/01/2019 18:38

If you are big boobed, the cheaper bras are never going to make it. You need a well made bra with proper support which costs.

Blibbyblobby · 20/01/2019 18:50

Yeah totally. Good fitting bras make all your clothes look better. You are upgrading your whole wardrobe for the cost of the bras, which makes them a bargain Grin

(Same rule applies to justify a good haircut BTW)

Borelis · 20/01/2019 18:58

Haha thanks everyone :)

@Freshprincess funnily enough, it was also quoted as 30FF on a bravissimo fitting

Mine cost £90 each - rigby and peller. I treat them with care and they mean I am always comfortable. They last ages so feel like they are worth it as the cost per wear is pennies.
