I've been feeling really tired lately- to the point I'm sleeping until 4/5pm easily after having slept almost all night as well.
These past few days I've had nausea, especially bad at breakfast and can't finish any of my meals. If I do finish them it's because I force myself and I always feel crap afterwards.

Posting here for traffic as I wasn't able to get a doctors appointment today, any ideas of what could be causing this?
Nothing sounds good to me to eatSad

I had my period over a week or so ago so I'm not thinking pregnancy.

Ugh I just feel awful🤢 bad stomach pain too when I push to go to the loo.
It's been a while now so I've ruled out a bug. Often feel like I need a #2 but when I go to the loo can't go? (Have been toileting regularly but I get these random feelings of thinking I need to go iyswim).

I'd be doing a pregnancy test even though you've had your period over a week ago. You can still have some bleeding when you're pregnant and the tiredness, nausea and constipation are all symptoms of pregnancy.
No suggestions other than that and to make sure you get an appointment to see your GP.
Good luck.

waterplease · 16/01/2019 14:33

@RivanQueen I'll order one for tomorrow then (the thought of going out makes me feel even worseSad) I'm afraid I could be but it would be so unlikely as I'm on the pill.

Deffo going to try and get a GP appointment tomorrow. Surely if I had my period then got pregnant (in the last week for example) I wouldn't be feeling symptoms right now?

MeredithGrey1 · 16/01/2019 14:37

Agree that its worth doing a pregnancy test anyway (partly because if you do go to the Dr its the first thing they'll ask anyway).
And I'd just keep trying to get an appointment with the Dr.
Not helpful I know, but it doesn't sound right, but it also sounds vague (I don't mean you're being vague, I mean the symptoms are all things that could be caused by any number of things) and its unlikely that anyone here will say "oh I know what that is!"

waterplease · 16/01/2019 14:43

@MeredithGrey1 I know what you mean, they're such random symptoms that don't sound serious really but they're affecting me so much at the moment.
I've just ordered those FR tests from amazon and should be arriving tomorrow.

What a nightmareBlush

You need your GP to run some blood tests; thyroid issues or anaemia can cause exhaustion too. (Either can be dramatically exascerbated by pregnancy too.)

Jellybean100 · 16/01/2019 14:44

Absolutely go to GP. How long has the feeling of needing to go to toilet been? Hope you get an appointment soon

waterplease · 16/01/2019 14:53

@MRex I had my bloods done around 2 months ago as I was feeling tiredness then (not to this degree though) and my thyroid, vitamins etc were all perfect which makes it even stronger!

OP posts:
waterplease · 16/01/2019 14:54

@Jellybean100 maybe a week? I am going to the loo and having regular bowel movements but I'm also having constant urges in the day to go then not being able to do anything (#2 not wee's) also get pain in my lower stomach often.

OP posts:
Frosty66611 · 16/01/2019 14:56

Could it be bad IBS? I have it and it makes me feel so exhausted and I get stomach pains and often feel like I need to go. My bowel movements are fairly normal but I do get bad bloating and look pregnant. I also get nausea and just feel like crap a lot of the time

waterplease · 16/01/2019 14:59

@Frosty66611 I had IBS for a period of time literally years ago and it was nothing like this. Took colofac and Cyclizine for that then which helped.
This feels different, I've never been so fatigued in my life!

Sorry you're suffering with IBSThanks

OP posts:
Frosty66611 · 16/01/2019 15:01

Thanks Flowers
what are your periods like? Are they very heavy/painful?
I get really extreme fatigue around 6-10 days after the first day of my period. Like to the point I can barely move or keep my eyes open. I never used to suffer with it but the GP I saw said hormones can affect women more and more the older they get. There’s a big surge of hormones going on at that point in the cycle which can cause extreme fatigue

waterplease · 16/01/2019 15:05

@Frosty66611 they used to be painful/heavy before I started the pill. I'm only 19 so not really getting old enough I think for that to impact me yet (the periods getting worse with age).

I guess I'm just weirded out by it as I've never had anything like this before. Like I said, my bloods came back normal 2 months ago! I take a 2 multi vitamins everyday and drink a lot of water etc.

I'm sorry you suffer so much with bad periods, that must be awful to go through each month! Have you found anything that helps? (I recommend Feminx if you haven't tried it- it's a lifesaver for me at the beginning of my period!)

OP posts:
Frosty66611 · 16/01/2019 15:11

Thanks i’ll check that out. It’s so exhausting!

The only other thing I can think of is could it be anxiety/depression related if your life is quite stressful?

As pp’s mentioned above i’d def get a first response preg test asap to rule pregnancy out 100%. Also ask your doctor to re do a full blood count for everything such as thyroid, anaemia, diabetes, liver function, vitamin levels (d and b12 deficiency’s especially cause fatigue). I hope you manage to get to the bottom of it

BusySnipingOnCallOfDuty · 16/01/2019 15:16

Take a pregnancy test asap, then make an appointment to see your GP. They may wish to scan your insides if it can't be put down to pregnancy or IBS. Better safe than sorry

waterplease · 16/01/2019 15:37

@Frosty66611 I will definitely do a test tomorrow and get an appointment, thanks. I do have depression/anxiety but it's not related to this as i feel fine mentally😂

OP posts:
waterplease · 16/01/2019 15:38

@BusySnipingOnCallOfDuty good idea, I was booked in for an ultrasound ages ago but they cancelled it and haven't got back to me. (I had a kidney infection at the time and the doctor at a&e said I have an enlarged aorta in my stomach).

OP posts:
MRex · 16/01/2019 19:45

Could it be this: www.nhs.uk/conditions/ulcerative-colitis/?

waterplease · 16/01/2019 22:10

@MRex I've never had blood in my stools or regular diarrhoea but I have had reoccurring mouth ulcers lately which is a symptom of that.. interesting🧐

It's funny because I feel fine this evening (evenings are often the only good part!) and managed to eat food fine with no pain/nausea.

OP posts:
Vedette89 · 16/01/2019 22:17

I know you had your period recently but could that have been implantation bleeding instead?

I had all these symptoms throughout my first trimester.

waterplease · 16/01/2019 22:30

@Vedette89 argh don't that makes me nervous! I'm only 20 next month and going to uni in sept!Shock

Honestly I don't know, it wasn't a massively heavy period and I can't remember much about the flow that month, I did have a week not on the pill after as I had to get a new prescription (they wanted to do a 6month BP check) and my GP couldn't see me for days. We had sex twice in that period with a condom. I'm only just again protected with the pill as I'm 7 days into my pack for this month.

OP posts:
waterplease · 16/01/2019 22:31

@Vedette89 what other symptoms did you have out of interest? I've been having some mouth ulcers/toothache too... don't know if that's pregnancy related though😂

I've got a FR coming tomorrow on amazon prime so I'll save tomorrow mornings wee to do that when it arrives.

OP posts:
AlexaAmbidextra · 17/01/2019 02:08

and the doctor at a&e said I have an enlarged aorta in my stomach).

Hang on a minute. If this is the case you really need to get this investigated as a matter of urgency. Why was it never followed up?

waterplease · 17/01/2019 08:33

@AlexaAmbidextra he said it literally is probably nothing but he just wanted a check on it. I don't have any pain near that area hence why I'm not worried. It was followed up but they cancelled the appointment so I'm waiting for another one.

OP posts:
Vedette89 · 17/01/2019 21:01

@water. How did your test go ?

I didn't have mouth ulcers. That would fit in more with allergy or food intolerances I think.

PacificRidge · 17/01/2019 21:13

I'm not a regular poster but lurk on the active threads and I just want to let you know that abdominal aneurysms (and enlargement of the part of your Aorta that runs through your stomach) have no symptoms until they are close to rupture. I don't want to scare you but i work in this area and with that information alone you should be checked out urgently if only to get onto a surveillance programme. Every patient with an enlarged aorta should be screened regularly because they grow.
I hope you get this sorted asap OP.
