I've been feeling really tired lately- to the point I'm sleeping until 4/5pm easily after having slept almost all night as well.
These past few days I've had nausea, especially bad at breakfast and can't finish any of my meals. If I do finish them it's because I force myself and I always feel crap afterwards.

Posting here for traffic as I wasn't able to get a doctors appointment today, any ideas of what could be causing this?
Nothing sounds good to me to eatSad

I had my period over a week or so ago so I'm not thinking pregnancy.

Ugh I just feel awful🤢 bad stomach pain too when I push to go to the loo.
It's been a while now so I've ruled out a bug. Often feel like I need a #2 but when I go to the loo can't go? (Have been toileting regularly but I get these random feelings of thinking I need to go iyswim).

@PacificRidge shit, thank you for that info- I didn't manage to get a GP appointment today and I was feeling good today. Surely if they thought that they'd talk about it more? My GP has mentioned it once when they discovered it.

How would I know if it was to rupture?

@Vedette89 the test arrived this afternoon so I couldn't do it this morning. I might do one this evening and one tomorrow morning? God I'm nervous.

Pregnancy test came up negative just now, I really hope I don't have something sinister going on with the aorta issueShock it's such a nightmare to get GP appointments at the moment.

They need to do an ultrasound scan to measure it and make a plan from there. Is that how it was discovered in the first place or did they just feel your tummy? I really didnt mean to scare you and your age and the fact you are female means you are at low risk of an abdominal aneurysm unless you have family history. Also the fact you haven't been called back means they may have ruled it out? I just felt you needed to know with what you said.
Rupture is very rare and people who know they have an AAA complain of sudden onset of back, stomach and groin pain, that's when you need an ambulance.

PacificRidge · 17/01/2019 21:39

Perhaps ring 111 and ask for advice? In my experience they have always been helpful and could help get you an appointment.

Lavenderee · 17/01/2019 21:42

Sounds a bit like mononucleosis

waterplease · 17/01/2019 21:43

@PacificRidge thank you for reassuring me :) I have been having the lower stomach/period style pain as well as nausea but no lower back pain so hopefully that's fine.

They discovered it by feeling my tummy when I was at A&E (sent by OOH doctor at 3am with a kidney infection. I've always thought it was my heartbeat I could feel in my stomach (if you touch my stomach you can feel it beating) I've had that for years- just looked up what you mentioned and it did say a heartbeat sensation was a sign.

The doctor showed me with his hands and said a normal one was this big and mine was around 3 or 4 times the size. Hence why they referred for an ultrasound. A day before the ultrasound they rang me to say they had to cancel for whatever reason and they've never got back to me.Confused

@PacificRidge do you think they'd be able to get me a referral? I don't think I need an appointment tonight as I've felt good all day so I don't want to waste their time.

@Lavenderee not sure about mono? I've had trouble swallowing for a week or so but put that down to your average sore throat!
No muscle aches or white patches rashes.

In that case i would ring the radiology department who cancelled it, explain that it was cancelled by them and ask for a new appointment to be sent out. Otherwise, give your GP a call, mention what happened and ask for their advice. It is important though, that's not just the mom in me saying that :)

waterplease · 17/01/2019 21:54

@PacificRidge thank you, I still have the original letter for the scan so I'll call the number on there tomorrow and see where I get with that. It was last September though so I hope they remember me😂

They will. Best of luck :)

kingsleysbootlicker · 17/01/2019 22:23

Mouth ulcers, fatigue, and stomach issues can all point to B12 deficiency... worth checking it's been tested and that the result was over 200ng/l ('normal/fine' isn't enough to rule deficiency out as the lab ranges are set too low)

waterplease · 17/01/2019 22:58

@kingsleysbootlicker interesting! I might request another bloods as the last was done 2 months ago. I've never seen the results though, the receptionist just calls and says if they're okay or not.

OP posts:
kingsleysbootlicker · 17/01/2019 23:01

I think it's definitely worth getting it done, even if just to rule it out. It's not included in a Full Blood Count so mightn't have even been tested already. You're entitled to a printout of all test results but you might have to request that in writing... my GP receptionists will give me the result value and lab range over the phone if I ask, but I know not all GP surgeries allow that

Ihopeyoudance · 17/01/2019 23:04

Coeliac disease? Ulcers, digestive pain, exhaustian, nausea etc.

GrumpyInsomniac · 17/01/2019 23:18

Yes, some of the symptoms could be coeliac disease (I'm coeliac so they're familiar). But I was wondering if you had another UTI going on after your previous kidney infection?

I have a friend who relates how she just had one bloody kidney infection and now she has regular UTIs like there's a weakness there or something. And a UTI can be painful, nauseating, tiring and have you frequently going to the loo. Bottom line is, get yourself to the GP and let them examine you.
