Why do childless people join Mumsnet?

Each to their own and I’m not saying they shouldn’t join. There are a plethora of boards that help people with or without kids. The site is called “Mums”net though. I’m curious as to why someone without kids would even think to join the site in the first place. If you are childless and reading this ... Can I ask what made you join Mumsnet?

Football forums , cycling forums do have other sections.

My old forum became less active, doesn't discuss the topics I'm interested in, is less feminist, includes less intelligent posters, and allows insidious bullying, but not swearing.

I came for the house info when a first time buyer, stayed for the content.

They also have a lot of men and it's very easy to be drowned in casual sexism. I've had to leave a fair few as it's pointless arguing with idiots.

I've been chucked out of a FB selling group for swearing. It was more important that members didn't swear than that some members were being ripped off.
