My Chillys one seems to be pretty good. I had it for Xmas and it's done long days in my handbag since then with no leaks.

MrsLettuce · 09/01/2019 19:55

Dopper. They don't leak, don't break and look fine.

IHopeYouStepOnALegoPiece · 09/01/2019 19:55

Chillys bottles are absolutely excellent.

As are the Camelback eddys. Both absolutely well worth the money

nomoremrsniceguy · 09/01/2019 19:56

They don't exist.

NoLeslie · 09/01/2019 19:56

Try ion, I have got 2 from tk maxx and neither have leaked yet.

TestingTestingWonTooFree · 09/01/2019 19:57

How easy are those recommended above for a small child to operate?

autumnnightsaredrawingin · 09/01/2019 19:58

Definitely chillys, although depends on the age of the child as they can be tricky to open.

BirdOnTheBeach · 09/01/2019 19:59

I have 5 Sistema Trio bottles (usually from Sainsbury's) - they screw together in 3 pieces, easy to clean and none have ever leaked - and they've suffered extreme provocation!

happytoday73 · 09/01/2019 20:00

Costco do a set of 3 that are fine for us up to now... absolute pain to clean inside the lid properly though !

fibonaccisequins · 09/01/2019 20:00

Contigo. They're easy to operate for small hands too. They are pricy but worth it.

Contigo Leak Proof Ashland Outdoor Bottle available in Red/Grey - 710 ml www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00VAN63EI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_nmLnCb8704RNY?tag=mumsnetforum-21

Teddyreddy · 09/01/2019 20:04

I got this one after a series of leaking otters from places like Sports Direct and the supermarket. No leaks yet, and my 2 year old can drink from it so it's definitely child friendly.

Camelbak chutes work here - we’ve had 5 of them on the go for years and never had a leak. Also have a couple of Aladdin ones which have never leaked in 5+ years of use but we bought them in the US and not sure if they’re available here.

delorisvancartier · 09/01/2019 20:06

I don't think one exists. I too have yet to find one. I disagree with the contingo recommendations, mine started leaking after about 6 months.

Frogsareawesome · 09/01/2019 20:07

Another vote for Contigo. Expensive but better than buying several cheap ones that don't last.

Teddyreddy · 09/01/2019 20:11

Leaking bottles not otters!

19lottie82 · 09/01/2019 20:12

Another vote for sistema

Mrshoneyneedsanewhat · 09/01/2019 20:12

Contigo often have the straws that come loose inside...

MissRainbowBrite · 09/01/2019 20:14

Camelbak Eddy all the way. DD has had one since Reception when I got fed up of all the others leaking. They're about £13 from eBay but worth every penny. You can get replacement spouts and straws too.

mindutopia · 09/01/2019 20:15

I have a Kleen Kanteen one for probably 12 years and it’s never leaked. My dd has one from the Little Green Bottle Co and it doesn’t leak either (unless she leaves it open in her bag!).

Cacamilis1 · 09/01/2019 20:23

Ion - they’re brilliant. My child has played football with his across the playground and it survived - 12months in and no leaks yet!

MrsLettuce · 09/01/2019 20:23

The design of the sistema trio is a very similar principle to the dopper, although it looks like it's harder to open and less stable when used in the cup function than the dopper

I'm not in the uk but theyve become popular to the point of ubiquity in the last 5 or so years here. Most people seem to have the basic ones but I've heard the new, bigger stainless steel ones are just as good

kitkatsky · 09/01/2019 20:24

Chilly bottle!

Xmasbaby11 · 09/01/2019 20:25

I have the contigo which seems very sturdy. My 4 year old uses it. However it is big for a child's one.

BlackeyedGruesome · 09/01/2019 20:27

old fruit shoot bottles here. as long as she does not chew the tops
