Loo Roll - Who’s Job is it?

Asdfghjkl1234 · 05/01/2019 20:44

I’m not going to put which side I’m on so as to avoid bias, let’s do a poll!

Who’s job is it to replace the loo roll on the loo roll holder?

A) The person who uses the last of the previously roll

B) The next person to need some after the previous roll is empty

OP posts:
QueenieIsLost · 05/01/2019 21:22

A

Myimaginaryreindeerhasfleas · 05/01/2019 21:22

Neither. It’s the person before A, the one who leaves the last two pieces carefully draped over the empty cardboard roll.

GenerationSnowflake · 05/01/2019 21:25

so A
but spare ones should also bee obvious for any unfortunate guests coming after a rude B!

GenerationSnowflake · 05/01/2019 21:25

*be
not bee Confused

NannyKasey · 05/01/2019 21:27

It's the loo roll fairy Grin Wink. My DD believed that until she left home!!

PaintBySticker · 05/01/2019 21:27

A

And there must always be 1 preferably 2 spare rolls in clear sight to avoid any situation where the roll runs out and a guest doesn’t know where to find one.

EggysMom · 05/01/2019 21:36

I think A.
DH thinks B.

Which results in it being my job, regardless whether I empty it or find it empty.

stopitandtidyupp · 05/01/2019 21:41

Its A but it's usually B in my house. Angry

AvocadoYUK · 05/01/2019 21:43

A the person who uses it up!!

RomanyRoots · 05/01/2019 21:48

The person who uses it up, my dh was having a moan about this today Grin The rest of us are a bit rude and useless Grin

Dermymc · 05/01/2019 21:49

A definitively!

What happened OP?

Nottobesoldseparately · 05/01/2019 21:54

It shouldn't even get to the point of it running out.
There should always be at least 2 on the go at all times !

Asdfghjkl1234 · 05/01/2019 22:02

I think it’s time for me to reveal my position! As you’ve all probably guessed, I’m obviously option A, like any normal person would be, but my parter grew up in a house of option B, I think these results speak for themselves now so I can’t wait to show him this thread 😂😂

OP posts:
fleshmarketclose · 05/01/2019 22:05

A obviously but in this house it always me Hmm

Biggles398 · 05/01/2019 22:06

You mean no one else has a loo roll fairy that changes it or throws the empty one away?!

FoxInABox · 05/01/2019 22:07

I would say A.
However I think you need C - always me, every time, as nobody else seems capable of such a task!

VictoriaBun · 05/01/2019 22:08

In this house it's the females job. Only the woman of the house can do this. It is a complex manoeuvre that a trained, fully functioning female is capable of carrying out.fucked off it's always me

KipperTheFrog · 05/01/2019 22:11

Always A, unless I'm at MILs house and I'm the one to finish a roll. Been with DH 12 years and still am not allowed to know where the spare loo roll is kept at MILs. I've asked multiple times but always get the same response of "not to worry, I'll sort it" from MIL

HolgerLowCarbingLoser · 05/01/2019 22:12

I think if my DH persisted in maintaining that it is option B, I would keep a stash of empty rolls and swap them out regularly until he got sick to death of getting caught without loo roll. Especially if he was the type to have a regular time of the day where he needed a poo. I would make sure he learnt through consequences!

Surfingtheweb · 05/01/2019 22:15

Well according to my house it's none of the above & it's solely my job in every loo in the house 😂

HolgerLowCarbingLoser · 05/01/2019 22:16

And none of this making it easy for him by having the loo rolls right there in the bathroom...oh no...they’d be stored waaay down the hall or in the kitchen downstairs or somewhere equally fiddly to get to.

Does he realise, for example, that being caught without loo roll when you’re on your period can be really problematic??

It’s such a selfish attitude. Really irritating.

MitziK · 05/01/2019 22:27

Who cares, as long as there is another roll within reach at the critical moment?

I always change it if I'm awake enough to realise it's run out/on the last couple of sheets, but I'm aware I probably forget if it's first thing in the morning. Same with the OH.

It's not a big deal one way or the other.

SpoonBlender · 05/01/2019 22:39

A. But we keep a stack of four within reach when you're sat on the loo anyway. Anything else would be madness.

stevie69 · 05/01/2019 22:55

Mine; it's always mine Shock

Angie169 · 05/01/2019 23:06

A , without a doubt both me and DH agreed on this however we disagreed on which way it should go on .
Not wishing to hijack the thread but which is the right way round to hand it
C, with the end of the roll against the wall

or
D with the end hanging away from the wall
