Loo Roll - Who’s Job is it?

Asdfghjkl1234 · 05/01/2019 20:44

I’m not going to put which side I’m on so as to avoid bias, let’s do a poll!

Who’s job is it to replace the loo roll on the loo roll holder?

A) The person who uses the last of the previously roll

B) The next person to need some after the previous roll is empty

A definitely!

And that means actually putting the new roll on the holder too, not just balancing it on top or on any other flat surface.

And definitely this! ☝️

Bambamber · 05/01/2019 20:53

The person who uses the last of it!

I have problems with my bladder so sometimes I have to rush to the loo. I would be pretty annoyed if I sat down, only to realise there was no loo roll

Stardustinmyeyes · 05/01/2019 20:54

What does Aldi have to do with toilet business.

A the person who uses the last

Celebelly · 05/01/2019 20:54

Should be A but we are lax in this house as the toilet roll supplies are in a drawer accessible while sitting on the loo so it doesn't really matter as no one will be left high and (not) dry.

Downstairs loo is more of a pain tho if person A doesn't! The dog has been used as a toilet roll mule in the past.

FadedRed · 05/01/2019 20:55

Definitely the person who uses the roll up, AND that means there must be a sufficient amount of paper left for another’s person use IYSWIM, and NOT just a token single piece of tissue left on the cardboard inner. And it is the changer’s job to 1) put the new roll properly on the holder and 2) discard the old inner into the correct disposal bin.

HolgerLowCarbingLoser · 05/01/2019 20:59

It’s obviously the job of the person who finished it.

How is this even a question in anyone’s mind? Hmm

EmeraldShamrock · 05/01/2019 20:59

A

But it doesn't happen very often. I always check supply before I use the loo.

BeanTownNancy · 05/01/2019 20:59

A!

What if the next person to go in there is a guest who doesn't know where you keep it? Or what if there's no more within reach and B doesn't notice until they need to wipe?

The horror

isseywithcats · 05/01/2019 21:00

should be A but in our house it always seems to be me but as we have a small bathroom and the new ones are within reach even sat on the loo dosent bother me that much

needadviceeeee · 05/01/2019 21:01

The person who uses it up, but in this house it's always bloody me !!!!!

BlessedMango · 05/01/2019 21:02

A, though inexplicably it’s always me whether I finished the last one or not.
Semi-joking, I asked Mr Mango how loo rolls got replaced before I moved in. He replied “it waited til my mother visited” and I still don’t know how much that was a joke Grin

Thingsdogetbetter · 05/01/2019 21:10

Mine either way. Lol

JacquesHammer · 05/01/2019 21:13

Kind of both yet neither Grin

We have a rule in our house that when you notice the loo roll getting low you get a new roll out ready so you’re never in a situation when there is no loo paper.

In the downstairs loo the cupboard with spares is in front of the loo anyway.

RLOU30 · 05/01/2019 21:16

Even my partner knows it’s A and that is why he will do his best to leave one tiny scrap of loo roll left whenever he is done so that I have to change it Angry

Galvantula · 05/01/2019 21:18

A for sure

Isitweekendyet · 05/01/2019 21:18

A... unless it's me who forgets...

JamesBondFire · 05/01/2019 21:19

Returning2thesceneofthecrime · 05/01/2019 21:20

Stupid question......the loo roll fairy replaces it.

Atthebottomofthegarden · 05/01/2019 21:20

My job. Regardless of whether I am A or B 🙄

Atthebottomofthegarden · 05/01/2019 21:21

Ah yes of course Returning is right, it’s a trick question...

ICouldBeSomebodyYouKnow · 05/01/2019 21:21

A.

LaBelleSausage · 05/01/2019 21:22

The person who finished the roll.

If for some reason they are unable to do so, they must stand the cardboard tube on the closed toilet seat lid as a warning signal so that no one is accidentally trapped with no paper.

PhilomenaButterfly · 05/01/2019 21:22

The person who uses it up.
