To ask about all inclusive holiday villages

Ninoo25 · 05/01/2019 20:33

I’m looking at booking a First Choice Holiday Village (one of the ones aimed at families). I can’t see anywhere on the details whether things like the kids clubs are included and if not how much they cost. There is a number for me to ring if I have any questions, but I’d rather not have the hard sell as it’s just something we’re looking into and pricing up for now, we are not ready to book.
I’ve never been on an all inclusive before, I can see that meals, snacks and drinks are included, but can’t see any info on kids clubs (apart from the fact that they have them).
Thanks :)

With Mark Warner they were included. I really would ring and check though rather than take someone’s word for it online..

We've never paid for kids clubs.

You could always send a message through Facebook or Twitter?

MrsLJ2014 · 05/01/2019 20:46

Kids club included in the price and they split them in to different age groups. You have to register your child when you're there and they have strict signing in / out procedures for the younger groups.

First Choice Holiday Village is a brand name; if you are booking a specific Holiday Village, then the kids club is included and it’s amazing. Plus all evening entertainment. The AI stuff changes with the individual resort, but we did one a few months ago and pretty much everything you can think of was included. Also 3 evenings at themed restaurants.

Holiday Village resorts also have Stage Academy, Swim Academy and Football Academy for kids (pay extra but great). I think most resorts have a Go Ape style adventure thing for older kids and there are pool parties/family entertainment round the pool all day.

Crèche, for babies and toddlers, isn’t included and you do need to pay.

First Choice have other brands like Family Life, but Holiday Villages are brilliant. There are a bunch of Facebook groups for them, just search ‘Holiday Village Menorca’ or whatever, join the group and ask any questions you have in there. Was v helpful for me before we went.

dementedpixie · 05/01/2019 21:15

Yes the kids clubs are included although swim lessons, football academy are payable

dementedpixie · 05/01/2019 21:15

My kids liked the high ropes

flumpybear · 05/01/2019 21:18

Check when you book it but all the ones I've been to are free ... not that my kids wanted to go lol

Ninoo25 · 05/01/2019 22:42

Ace thanks everyone. At the moment I’m just trying to convince my DH that they’re worth the money vs. the cost and hassle of staying in a private villa and arranging flights, transfers, entertaining the kids, food etc ourselves. I wouldn’t put them in kids club all the time or anything, but I think it’d be nice for them to have the option as they are enthusiastic ‘joiner inners’ and have bags of energy. I know I’d be the one doing all of the organising and cooking when there, so the thought of an all inclusive really appeals to me :)

Which one are you looking at?

Singlebutmarried · 05/01/2019 22:45

Ace. If your kids will go to the clubs.

Ours did the first time. Second time. Not at all.

ZanyMobster · 05/01/2019 22:49

Rhodes and Majorca HVs are amazing. Kids clubs free, high ropes there also. Love the swim up rooms.

Perfect for kids who love joining in.

ZanyMobster · 05/01/2019 22:49

Expensive but worth every penny IMO.

dementedpixie · 05/01/2019 22:51

We went to the Tunisia one twice

dementedpixie · 05/01/2019 22:52

Rhodes is very pricey

40andfeelingit · 05/01/2019 22:52

We’ve done Menorca and Tenerife, Menorca was our best holiday ever!
Paid extra for the crèche for the under 2 and 5 half hour swimming lessons for the 3 year old.
Just wish we could afford to go back in school holidays now ☹️

MrsTWH · 05/01/2019 22:52

We did Rhodes last Summer, it was excellent. Kids clubs free but pay extra for football/swim academy.

Ninoo25 · 05/01/2019 22:53

Nickynacky

It’s called Aliathon in Paphos

Nicknacky · 05/01/2019 22:54

I’ve been to Aliathon, we loved it.

whatwillbewillbe03 · 05/01/2019 23:00

Ive been to Aliathon and loved it.. my daughter enjoyed the kids club, entertainment and the splash pool.. food was great too. Highly recommend.

Kids club included. Split in age groups. You do have to pay for extras like t shirt painting etc but its not too much.

Littlecaf · 06/01/2019 08:34

Just looked at prices for June (we have preschoolers) would be just as expensive as a diy villa holiday elsewhere. Apartments seem to look at at the Menorca one. (Prefer apartments as hate being all in one room), thanks for the thread OP!

Hellohellohowareyou · 06/01/2019 08:40

I can also recommend Majorca, we’ve been twice now and stayed in a duplex with roof terrace which was well worth the extra money to us. The staff were all fab and the kids really enjoyed the kids club

We’ve booked a swim up for Rhodes next year which we are looking forward to

Ragh · 06/01/2019 17:31

How much does the crèche cost? We will have a 3 year old and a 9 month old and are looking at Menorca

SolemnlySwear2010 · 06/01/2019 17:34

We went to the Ibiza one last year - was amazing. If the hotel you are looking at does swim up rooms, they are 100% worth the money! We now camt imagine not having a swim up on our next holiday

Birdshitbridgegotme · 06/01/2019 17:37

I went to holiday village in Rhodes and as far as I know the kids clubs were free although my children were too little to use them at the time

Lucyccfc · 06/01/2019 17:41

Lots to do at the Majorca one. Great pools and kids clubs. Food wasn't the best and the outdoor entertainment area was filthy. Had to wipe the tables every night. Ibiza was better.
