Posted on here for traffic! Does anyone know if this is just a rash for dribbling and a heat rash on his neck and back? He hasn’t actually been dribbling too much but I think that what it can only be from?

That looks sore, poor poppet.

Is he ok in himself? Any temperature? My DD has sore lips at the moment due to dribbling and the weather, but it’s confined to around her lips.

Pocketfullofsunshine89 · 05/01/2019 18:52

He’s had brief periods of being a little grumpy but still seems quite content. Checked his temperature and it’s fine, I’m not sure what to make of it!

Looks very sore Sad

Worth a GP appointment I think I would imagine it could be caused by dribble & cold air.

My daughter had something similar many years ago but it spread to impetigo so she had antibiotics.

Try & keep dry Smile

shecamefromgreece · 05/01/2019 18:55

Ooh bless him that looks sore.
Is there anything in his mouth?
Nappy area or hands and feet?

chumbal · 05/01/2019 18:56

Possibly eczema also (son had thatSad).

Gp appointmentThanks

Makatoned · 05/01/2019 18:56

Could try pharmacist they might be able to help

JudasPrudy · 05/01/2019 18:56

Has he eaten any new foods today?

Pocketfullofsunshine89 · 05/01/2019 19:05

Nothing in his mouth, no nappy rash or anything on hands and feet. He hasn’t tried anything new either.

I’m sure he has eczema, but he doesn’t have any other patches of skin that are sore.

Currently in London atm and are travelling home tomorrow so will try and get him checked out. Thank you for the responses!

Has he been outside a lot today as well? My 9y/o gets similar if he licks his lips outside when it’s cold- perhaps your little one was dribbling a lot outside and saliva combined with cold air irritated the skin?

GhostSauce · 05/01/2019 19:11

That looks like a reaction to something. What did he eat? Is he itching it?

ApproachingATunnel · 05/01/2019 19:11

Also, does he have a dummy, the rash appears to be the size of dummy with the reddness trailing to the sides (if a child was sat in a buggy at an angle the saliva might have gathered at sides of dummy and dribbled down the cheek).

PhilomenaButterfly · 05/01/2019 19:12

Allergic reaction?

fc301 · 05/01/2019 19:13

Yes it looks like eczema. Slather him with sudocrem?

Pocketfullofsunshine89 · 05/01/2019 19:17

This is the second day he hasn’t been out so I’m not sure about the cold? But could be from the previous time he was out.

He’s never had a dummy.

He has tried an Ella’s kitchen coconut and strawberry purée today but that was in the afternoon and he’s had the rash on his chest and back from this morning? The marks around his mouth he’s had since yesterday but wasn’t anything as sore looking as this. He doesn’t seem to be itching/touching it at all.

Forgot to add he’s 9 months old

OP posts:
GaryBaldbiscuit · 05/01/2019 19:20

perhaps it is a strawberry allergy?

GaryBaldbiscuit · 05/01/2019 19:21

Have you put any creams on him?

JillyWillyPops · 05/01/2019 19:22

I used to get this when I was a baby as a reaction to acidic foods, especially tomatoes.

MrsTommyBanks · 05/01/2019 19:31

I'm no expect, but my DD has a very stubborn eczema in exactly the same place, that looked just like that.
It turned out to be triggered by citrus fruits. Took ages to clear up with different creams, prescribed by GP.
Hope you manage to get it cleared for him soon. Poor lamb, and poor you. It's awful to see them so sore.
My DD had her flair up in reception. Her teacher thought I was ignoring it. I got really upset, then told her how hard I was trying.
Mind that was nearly 30 years ago, so probs much easier now to get it sorted.

MrsTommyBanks · 05/01/2019 19:37

Expert and had.
She's fine now. But def go to see GP when you're home.
I did find Bach's rescue remedy cream very soothing for my own eczema in the mean time?

Jammydodger1981 · 05/01/2019 19:42

I was also going to say tomatoes. If mine are any, either raw or in a sauce they needed to be cleaned ASAP or they’d get that rash

littlemisssunshine18 · 05/01/2019 19:43

Looks like a good allergy rash. I would avoid the giving him the foods you gave yesterday and today, and get s GP appointment asap.
Are you breastfeeding?

littlemisssunshine18 · 05/01/2019 19:46

That should say Food allergy reaction.

Imsosorryalan1 · 05/01/2019 19:48

He had the marks before he had the strawberry

Firsttimer1234 · 05/01/2019 19:50

Hand foot and mouth?
