to ask what slippers you wear?

Dog chewed my slippers (to be fair they were falling apart anyway) and am shopping for a new pair. We have stone floors so need something on my feet in the mornings!

I was bought a pair of Ugg scuffette slippers as a (bloody marvellous) Christmas present a few years ago butI wore them to death and definitely can't justify spending £80 on a pair of slippers! I did love the hard sole and shearling/fluffy inside though!

Anyone have any secret slipper knowledge that they can share of alternatives that are a bit less eye-watering on price!? Smile

I am a moshulu fan too. Rubber soles so can wear outside. I wear my current pair every day and got them 4 years ago.

A friend with stone floors swears by Haflinger. More expensive but apparently very warm and hard wearing. Thin soles do not last on stone floors and these are thick.

Skechers- Bobs
Hard sole, mine are silver sparkly and fur, other styles available, £30 in the outlet shop, , so warm , excellent buy, love them

speakout · 01/01/2019 19:46

Fake crocs.

My get too hot in furry slippers, but I don't like wearing just socks.

mortifiedmama · 01/01/2019 19:48

I was given moshulu ones as a gift about 4 years ago and they are only just wearing out (on the inside). Can't say I was overly keen on the designs but they are warm, comfy and very hard-wearing.

Another vote for M&S slipper boots. I’ve got a couple of pairs of the cable ones, one grey pair and one purple. They wash great and dry upside down on the radiator. Very warm on stone floors.

Jacksback · 01/01/2019 19:49

Emu very similar to ugg but the forerunner
Approx £60 but can wear outside to go to bin / car etc
I have had mine around 4 yrs and still great
Real waterproof sole and real sheepskin interior
Lovely

Toms. I have these ones. They've lasted me 2 years so far, I reckon I'll get at least another one out of them.

I think they are mens but I got away with the smallest size.

Another vote for Moshulu Malta 2. Bloody wonderful.

Gindrinker43 · 01/01/2019 19:51

Another vote for Moshulu, and they may have a sale on!

scrivette · 01/01/2019 19:53

White Company slipper boots, I have lived in them since last Christmas.

BunnyCake · 01/01/2019 19:54

GottaLoveAnOtter I've got the boots too and they've lasted about 5 years. They are good for squashing down boxes to put in the recycling!

Sitranced · 01/01/2019 19:55

Lidl fake crocs.

WineGumption · 01/01/2019 19:56

Wow, tons of recommendations! Thank you so much, now happily clicking away checking them all out,I have never heard of half of these!

I had also totally forgotten about TK Maxx.

And I just looked up Mahabis and it looks like they've gone into administration unfortunately. Although couldn't have afforded them anyway and TK Maxx only have sizes 2 and 3 left!

Thank you again, HUGE help! Smile

Uggs, with the hard sole so I can wear them outside.

Love them, the cost is fully justifiable 😊

Toughtips · 01/01/2019 19:59

UGGs or sheepers

MaryBoBary · 01/01/2019 20:02

Definitely these next ones:

So warm and comfy but with a good solid sole

SadSongsAndWaltzes · 01/01/2019 20:02

I have these from Hotter, bought as a half price pair when buying shoes and I'm so glad I did. They're really unfashionable and unflattering! But they have a hard rubber sole for my cold tile floors, I can go outside in them if needed, they're supportive, and they're fluffy and warm inside. I've had them a couple of years, wear them every day and they're still good as new. Also currently on sale!

Homeys all the way, excellent slipper!

Neverender · 01/01/2019 20:07

Bedroom athletics

user1486076969 · 01/01/2019 20:10

Regular Crocs i.e. not the 'slipper' variety

EatsFartsAndLeaves · 01/01/2019 20:12

Second hand Uggs, £7, came with a tiny hole in the toe which has no effect at all on my enjoyment of them as slippers.

willowpillow · 01/01/2019 20:12

Another vote for Moshulu, they last forever!

huggybear · 01/01/2019 20:15

Fat Face ones are good and probably a good price at the mo.

HalfPintPixie · 01/01/2019 20:15

I bought my mum a pair of North Face fleece lined slippers and she loves them.
They aren't the prettiest to look at in my opinion, but she says they are the best thing she's ever put on her feet.

Fashionista101 · 01/01/2019 20:19

Ugg and will never not. I work from home and literally live in them
