I've just been in the kitchen banging around starting breakfast (the door is opposite her bedroom door) and she's still not woken up!!!

mumsiedarlingrevolta · 25/12/2018 07:00

I've been up with the puppy since 6.

Have got turkey ready to go into oven and wrapped pancetta around asparagus as it's one of the lovely bits we will eat throughout day.
Don't think I can do smoked salmon blinis now due to meltage so drinking coffee and watching Scrooge Xmas Grin

Eminybob · 25/12/2018 07:00

I’m awake feeding DS2 who is too young to care about Christmas. DS1 has woken up before 6 every day for the last week. Have not yet heard a peep from him Shock.

bellsbuss · 25/12/2018 07:00

Merry Christmas everyone , I've been awake since 5.30 as so excited Smile OH just about to wake the children as I can't wait any longer. Hope everyone has a lovely day.

ZenNudist · 25/12/2018 07:01

Mine got up at 2.30!! We brought 4yo into bed with us at 3.30/4ish. Thankfully hes sleeping now, 8yo is awake and waiting in same bed and I've got up to make a hot drink as am full of a cold. Off to rest in one of dcs beds until 4yo wakes up.

loopy42 · 25/12/2018 07:03

Only one wide awake here too.....one of the neighbours decided 6:30 am was a brilliant time to let off some fireworks but everyone in the house apart from me slept through them!!
So now I'm sitting here on MN trying to resist waking up the rest of the house, DD is 8 and usually awake by now any other day of the year.....typical

Littleraindrop15 · 25/12/2018 07:07

I've woken up thanks to morning sickness I'm exhausted and excited wish it was 9am so I can start the day

crispysausagerolls · 25/12/2018 07:11

YANBU!!! DS only a baby next to me in bed but have been waiting for over an hour for him to wake up so it wakes DH up! “Santa” also needs to put the presents in DH’s stocking but baby lying on my left arm so not sure how that’s going to happen!
Merry Christmas everyone!!

Eminybob · 25/12/2018 07:13

Now the baby has gone back to sleep and I’m the only one awake in my house!
Torn between going downstairs on my own to have a brew in peace, or waking everyone up.

TipseyTorvey · 25/12/2018 07:13

Both of mine still snoozing away. I've come downstairs and had two cups of tea and pottered about in the kitchen and now playing on mumsnet 😂. Not quite the way I imagined it given how excited they were last night!

thinkingaboutthinking19 · 25/12/2018 07:27

I'm the only one awake here. DD 13months has a party in the middle of the night so letting her sleep in the hope she won't be grumpy.
In the meantime I'm debating letting the dog up for cuddles - not to wake up DH so I'm not awake alone GrinWink

SongforSal · 25/12/2018 07:34

I've been up since 630. Dcs are 13 and 18. I've layed their wrapped stockings in front of their bedroom doors. About to get dressed now. The cat is sitting on one of the pressies under the tree. I'll wake Dp at 9, then start blasting Christmas music to wake them!

Punto1 · 25/12/2018 07:37

What is it about Christmas morning which suddenly grants them the ability to sleep lol

TheMobileSiteMadeMeSignup · 25/12/2018 07:38

DD is 5,woke me up 10 minutes ago. Trying to amuse her for just a little longer so she doesn't wake my dad who is asleep in the living room.

JaceLancs · 25/12/2018 07:39

I’m only one awake here but no small children
We’ve agreed to get up around 8.30
On here whilst waiting

Furiousatlife25 · 25/12/2018 07:40

SavageBeauty73 · 25/12/2018 07:40

Mine are fast asleep! Teenagers 🙄 I'll try and wake them up about 9 🎄🎄

Owlettele · 25/12/2018 07:42

My youngest never sleeps through.....but has tonight and Is still asleep. Biggest (4) just woken up and now we are waiting (impatiently) for youngest to wake so we can see if he has been!!!!

Thanks for the great night's sleep though guys. Clearly 16 month old was concerned Santa couldn't come if he woke!!

Mummyoflittledragon · 25/12/2018 07:46

Dd 10 been up since 4.22. We had the Santa chat a few weeks ago after I couldn’t dodge the questions any longer but she’s having none of it. Santa came in the night. Obvs. She really wanted me to tell her my explanation was a hoax so I’ve gone with that. We had a power cut in the night so I told her that means Santa really came. I’m terribly confused tbh. And tired....

golddustwomen · 25/12/2018 07:48

Both my kids (and oh) still fast asleep. Have been downstairs, had a brew, washed and make up on. Come on kids !!!!!! Will start banging cupboards at 8 I think
Merry Christmas everyone! Hope your day is full of happiness and excitement 🎄

Kelsoooo · 25/12/2018 07:48

The 6&9 yr olds are asleep.

The six year old got up ten minutes ago for a wee bit appear to have gone back to bed.....

I'll wake them at 8. They went to bed at 730 last night and were asleep by 830.

drspouse · 25/12/2018 07:52

One of mine is pottering and the other asleep! Early to bed also here - 4 and 6. The 4 yo is awake but I reckon doesn't remember the drill from last year.

MidiMitch · 25/12/2018 07:56

Mine lo still asleep. Will be a late night tonight so happy for him to sleep in.

MidiMitch · 25/12/2018 07:56

*My

SomethingAboutNothing · 25/12/2018 07:57

DS(6) is still asleep, though as he was so excited he didn't get to sleep until 10pm last night so I'm not overly surprised. He needs to wake up no though, I'm too excited!
