I did this one last year, but it frightened my DN

They all look amazing. I'm loving the use of royal icing as I don't like the taste of fondant.

Mine is still in the Sainsbury’s packaging plus it’s a chocolate log as I couldn’t be arsed this year so pretend this one is mine

DDs cryptic Christmas Cake! Have a guess?

Can I include an Yuletide log? Here's mine and DD's, chocolate and orange.

They all look great mine has been a rush job this year as only had an hour. It's a gf sponge cake to go alongside the traditional cake, cheesecake and jelly!!!

@topcat2014 yours looks exactly like the cake my DMum used to make. She has stopped bothering in recent years as no one ate it. I might have to give it a go next year, having seen yours.

An iced chocolate fruit cake decorated in gingerbread. DS(2) is going to go mad when I finally let him eat it!

This is mine. Decorated by the children. There is a robin on a branch and a birdhouse courtesy of one child and a snowman courtesy of the other child. The snowman is carrying a Christmas wreath for his friend and is on his way to deliver it.

Where on EARTH do you find the lush old fashioned decorations eg ‘seasons greetings’, trees etc?? Been looking high and low to use as snow globe fillings.
