And a guesstimate of how many swears and how many missing pieces there will be?

We've got to try and get a Barbie Dreamhouse Down from our loft room at some point. Won't be building it this year thankfully. Just the box and will build it in dd's room on the day.

@posthistoricmonsters Sounds like a stress remix of the 12 days of Christmas Xmas Grin

Bacardi101 · 24/12/2018 20:12

Two doll bunk beds what was I thinking? and two dolls prams but they are double buggy ones can see me being up until 4am....

TwiceMagic · 24/12/2018 20:13

I’m not building anything either. Mine are a bit older and interested in things that cost as fortune but come in tiny boxes mostly. No assembly required.

Soubriquet · 24/12/2018 20:14

Nothing!!! GrinGrin

Will never forget having to put the sodding ballapalooza up for dd’s first Christmas.

4.5 hours and hell of a lot of swearing later we finally managed to finish it.

Dd nearly didn’t get a present that year

SylvanianFamiliesNurserySet · 24/12/2018 20:15

2x Ikea desk chairs.

Sitting here with STBXH waiting for it to be quiet upstairs so we can get started. I have a mountain of presents to wrap, and I’m so tired. Time for a large Gin methinks! Merry Christmas everyone Grin

Gooseygoosey12345 · 24/12/2018 20:22

None 😁 I just have to adjust the seat on an electric scooter but it'll probably involve some swearing about losing the tools lol

Mummyshark2018 · 24/12/2018 20:24

Nothing this year, but weirdly miss not having to build something.

5foot5 · 24/12/2018 20:36

Oh this thread takes me back!

DD is 23 now but from years ago I can remember late night sweary assembly of an easel, a Princess dressing table and a garage (consecutive years not all at the same time, we were not that indulgent)

By the time we got to the Playmobil Fairy Tale castle we had learned our lesson so we built it two weeks before Christmas and hid it in the garage. Building that was genuinely a joy.

I also remember the year we got her Lego Hogwarts but she was older then so there was no attempt to build it before. However much of Christmas day involved helping her to build it herself.

Hmm.

Twelve Drona in-serts
Eleven plates are missing
Ten shelves for drilling
Nine cardboard boxes
Eight curtain railings
Seven screws left over
Six hours of screaming

posthistoricmonsters · 24/12/2018 20:47

(we've just moved house)

Ahardmanisgoodtofind · 24/12/2018 20:49

A bloody great dolls house, which we have virtually no furniture for because I forgot to order it, so even built it's going to look a bit shit sparse.
And dh is ill. And I may already have sunk a few free gins after work on an empty stomach.
Lucky dh has no voice, I can see us not being on speaking terms come bed time

AnnaMariaDreams · 24/12/2018 20:51

Nothing although we built a Playmobil Amphitheatre in early December. We now build before we wrap.

Fruitbatdancer · 24/12/2018 20:53

A Lego trainset. I am not building that fucker in the morning while trying to enjoy myself and not burn shit.
Also, I’ll have a playmobil zoo To build and can’t cope with any more small pieces!

bumblebee39 · 24/12/2018 20:53

Didn't realise this was a thing! Always do it on the day with little people running about but this seems much more sensible and much more exciting seeing it fully built (even though boxes are easier to wrap 😂)

Lucked · 24/12/2018 20:55

Just a scooter, not sure how much building required.

I still remember the little tikes car, DH was working and I had to build with an 8 week old who was trying to cluster feed. Good luck to those building it tonight.

Di11y · 24/12/2018 20:59

IKEA kitchen, though did most of it last night and just had to put 2 sections together and add a couple of doors. minimal swearing and only kicking myself that all the kitchen bits are at home (at in laws for Xmas day)

tessiegirl · 24/12/2018 20:59

A kidkraft kitchen here!!
Just waiting for dd to be asleep and we shall start...Confused

Since2016 · 24/12/2018 21:01

A dolls cot. Already built while we tag teamed getting the toddler to sleep. Which she still isn’t.

WHY? GO TO BED!

BendydickCuminsnatch · 24/12/2018 21:01

Family members did Playmobil Hawks Castle while we were putting the kids to bed. Amazon reviews say it takes 4 hours but it took about 0.5hours 😄

CheshireChat · 24/12/2018 21:02

We have the playmobil prison, but we're building it tomorrow, never realised people put things together ahead of time.

We had a toy kitchen last year, DP had fun Wink.

GinIsIn · 24/12/2018 21:03

I did the Ikea kitchen earlier. Having done a fucker of a George at Asda kitchen last week, my hopes weren’t high but the Ikea one is a whole other kettle of fish! Soooo easy!

CheshireChat · 24/12/2018 21:04

The bloody prison says it'll take 90 minutes to build Confused.

PlainVanilla · 24/12/2018 21:08

Resentment.
