AIBU to have a filthy house?

So many threads on here where people's houses, towels, linen are spotless - am I the only one who's the total opposite? My house gets cleaned once a week. We have a large dog who goes on muddy walks and then lies on the furniture. The sofas are old and stained anyway. After a couple of days past the clean, the floors are covered in a light patina of dirt and bundles of fur and dust can be found in most corners. That said, we're never ill and are fighting fit in our fifties. So I know I'm not BU but just hoping there are other like-minded slatterns!

Ours is mid level. I like it clean and tidy but I never scrub. I clean something every day but it’s no show home. I think it’s beautiful though, it’s old and we don’t have contemporary/ minimalist furniture as it isn’t our style. My dog sleeps on my bed and goes on the couch. If you don’t like my dog or feel she’s a little smelly then please PLEASE feel free not to come over. As it happens my friends are all quite laid back and we’re never short of visitors. I couldn’t give a damn if my friends houses aren’t perfect, I go over to see them not to lick their floor

I have five children and three dogs. My house is very lived in.

You will sit down and then get dog hair on you. I do use a big hair roller and hoover regularly though.

When it is raining my floors get grubby. I don't tolerate mud from the dogs on my furniture though.

My dogs get their toys out a lot and they generally make the house much messier but I would not want to live a life without them. Their hair can get annoying but they are worth it. If other people don't like my messy house they are free not to visit.

I grew up in a spotless house but I have always been more comfortable in lived in houses. Completely filthy is a different story obviously.
