I'm wide awake and in pain! I've been having a gallstone attack since 9pm Angry

Anyone else awake and very cross about it?

I am vomiting after far too much to drink at my Christmas night out Gin

PadawanCat · 22/12/2018 05:01

Haven’t slept properly now for months. Bloody hormones (night sweats), plus worry about my youngest who’s disabled, and now also my mum who’s just been diagnosed with cancer. DH is snoring away, oblivious.

Needadoughnut · 22/12/2018 05:05

Went to a Christmas do... Thought that'd be enough for me to sleep like a baby but no cigar

dinodiva · 22/12/2018 05:05

Baby was up messing around and can’t get back to sleep. Can collect the turkey from 6am so going to get up soon and do that. Have made a list of things I need to do today to see if that settles my mind!

TopBitchoftheWitches · 22/12/2018 05:11

Just googled and Lidl is opening at 7.00am today so one perk of being awake early means hopefully there won't be many people there at that time !

MrsXx4 · 22/12/2018 05:11

I’ve been awake all night. I am in labour, have been since about 8am but didn’t really realise (first baby). Even went into town shopping and told DH it was fine for him to go out for Christmas drinks. Things really ramped up by 10pm! Just got back from the hospital though as was only 2cm dilated. I don’t think I’m going to be very good at giving birth! The pain is unbearable and I’m just at the start!!!

Trippedupagain · 22/12/2018 05:20

Hi non sleepers! I'm awake because DH was snoring and now I'm awake ive just started getting stressed about stuff so I've come downstairs for a cuppa as I just get worse lying awake in bed. Hope the labour goes okay, MrsX - I'm sure you'll do fine, but sending a big hug. Everyone else who is awake because of pain or problems I hope it all gets better soon and we all sleep tonight xx

Mylovelies · 22/12/2018 05:21

MrsXx4
Yes, the pain is extraordinary. Try not to panic, makes it so much worse, and hold onto your DH for dear life. You'll be out the other side if it soon. Best of luck and love from just about all of us! Xx

Easilyflattered · 22/12/2018 05:21

Ooh how exciting Mrs X, good luck with the labouring!! A Christmas baby seems extra special somehow.

I'm awake because I have a random belly ache and I'm stressing about Christmas. So much left to do.

All the best, MrsX.

fleshmarketclose · 22/12/2018 05:26

Been up half an hour now insomniac and the dog likes to get me up to watch her sleep this week which isn't helpful.

EarringsandLipstick · 22/12/2018 05:34

Oh good luck MrsX that’s v exciting! Little baby just before Christmas, lovely
It might go quicker when you get established, it can be painful & slow at the start on a first.

EarringsandLipstick · 22/12/2018 05:37

Tidy I’m like this - awake since 345 & didn’t even really try to go back to sleep as have an early start and afraid of sleeping in
Having cup of tea in bed now, then will get up & clean

I fell asleep straight after putting kids to bed, all exhausted, crazy time at work. Didn’t intend to - when I woke at 345 realised all lights etc on downstairs 😳

MsAdorabelleDearheartVonLipwig · 22/12/2018 05:45

I can’t remember the last time I had to get up in the middle of the night. Dd came in and woke me up saying she had tummy ache. I’ve been waking up for the last few nights with aches and coughing my guts up and was actually sound sleep when she came in. The worst thing was she apologised for waking me up, poor little girl, I felt really guilty for feeling sorry for myself.

LesLavandes · 22/12/2018 05:45

I'm awake. I've got Chicken Pox and am very itchy

MrsXx4 · 22/12/2018 05:46

Thank you all! Little thing is 2 weeks early and for our first we were well prepared to go over so thought we had loads of time! I’d just bought a very cute ‘born in 2019’ sleepsuit for the little one. Clearly it has other ideas and wants in on the Christmas action!

Frogletmamma · 22/12/2018 05:48

Im awake. Now shall i wake up dh as asda is open at 6 ?

GoatYoga · 22/12/2018 05:50

Been awake for hours - Had an horrendous few weeks, DH has been diagnosed with CML, I’ve got tonsillitis and can’t even swallow a sodding paracetamol as they are so swollen (pretty minor compared to DH to be fair). To finish off I fell last night on a very uneven car park and split my knee open - bloody great when DH is too knackered to help out much at the moment.

bridgetosomewhere · 22/12/2018 05:54

I'm awake too. Sore throat and blocked nose stopping me getting back to sleep.

I've been waking on and off all night listening out for DS who has an ear infection and his ear drum burst last night. I keep expecting him to wake and come in but he hasn't so far. Hopefully the calpol is working and he'll sleep himself better.

Think that's me for the night no chance of getting back to sleep now :(

Sumpathies to everyone who is poorly and best of luck for baby being born!! Christmas baby how lovely

KonaMum · 22/12/2018 05:58

We’re in the throes of 4 month sleep regression. DS seems to be up hourly 😩

MrSnowmansCarrotStickNose · 22/12/2018 06:05

I'm a bit late to the party. Iv been wide awake since 4m and have done the asda grocery shop. I have wakened at 4am the last 3 or 4 mornings. I'm putting it down to work related stress.

Lake2 · 22/12/2018 06:13

I’m also late to the party. Been awake since 5 because as soon as I open my eyes, i start getting poo pains and then can’t go back to sleep after going. Oh and it burns to wee because I’ve been diagnosed with BV (how lovely, and rhyming) and so I’m worrying about that.

I sound like a 14 year old male internet troll Confused

Hope all you none sleepers are now asleep!

sproutsandparsnips · 22/12/2018 06:25

Goatyoga I'm sorry to hear that Thanks
I'm up because I have to go to work, so doesn't count I don't think!

Blackbirdblue30 · 22/12/2018 06:29

Up since half four. Moved into a new flat a few days ago, the upstairs neighbour snores and I'm not used to the sounds etc in this place yet either. Didn't do myself any favours either by trying to sleep in rollers so my hair looks great for a party tonight. Anyway. Coffee and Netflix time.
