@hangry Shock Hiiiiii😂

I once had a discussion with a barman about bees. Got really passionate about them. Didn't get served anymore that night... Bees are important! Grin

They really do mean drunk drunk, because you can become danger to yourself or to others.

I once tried to persuade a policeman to reopen a tube station at midnight so me and my friends could get home.

@wheneverythinggoestitsup it's not enforced in the sense that police are called but per say you were given a glass of water by the bar staff to sober up a little and then your friend thought pfft I will buy them a drink then you are both removed from the premises 😊 I can't say I've ever seen anyone arrested for it though 😂

It's also illegal to sell alcohol to a 'lady of the night' not sure how you can tell now days, and I wouldn't want to be the one asking either.

StealthPolarBear · 20/12/2018 14:20

So what is it called, legally, when someone isn't sober but isn't drunk?

It’s also illegal to be drunk in charge of a horse 🐴

Fortunately (for me) that one's not true Grin

Lady of the night is such a romantic phrase :o

I can't imagine how this would be enforced tbh

The pub would refuse to serve you or any member of your party if they thought the drink they were ordering was for you, and ask you to leave.

RiverTam · 21/12/2018 09:04

Blimey, I've bought many a drink for pissed friends and vice versa.

I had no idea it was illegal. How does that even work? If it's illegal to serve a drink person how can it be possible to buy a drunk person a drink? Who would the courts charge - the seller or the buyer - or both?

Bizarre. Well, every day's a school day.
