Currently 4am where I am. Have had absolutely no sleep bar about 20 minutes an hour ago. A combination of:

Period pain
Coming off anxiety medication
DH arriving home from work Christmas do at 1am, and snoring, kicking and stealing the covers all night long (sleeping soundly may I add!!!!!)
Laying here silently seething because of the above

Have to be up at 6. Anyone else??

Sleeping pattern messed up.

Boredboredboredboredbored · 20/12/2018 04:40

Me too..... I have two snoring teenagers fast asleep and I'm wide awake at 4.39am. It's going to be a loooooong day!

Oct18mummy · 20/12/2018 04:44

Up with 7 week old since 3- he’s just dropped off back to bed now! 💤💤

Spamfrittersforeveryone · 20/12/2018 04:48

I’m here, and in pain.
I have the electric blanket on. I luffs my electric blanket.
I can’t get to the painkillers and DH is asleep so it’ll have to do for now.

Thishatisnotmine · 20/12/2018 04:53

She's back in her cot! On the plus side I"'ve just popped down and turned the thermostat up so it will be toasty when I am showering. Think positive, thishat...

ShadyLady53 · 20/12/2018 04:54

Good Morning everyone 😩🤒

I’m up with a very sore throat. It started yesterday, my first day off work for my main job. Just got up now to take some paracetamol and do a salt gargle and am having some tea and toast.

Had to cancel some singing gigs and pull out of a Christmas party last night that I was looking forward to.

Can’t wait for the chemist to open so I can buy some difflam spray. Throat is so sore right now and I’ve tried everything I can think of,

To be honest, I think stress or underlying anxiety has been affecting my sleeping and eating for about a month. I keep waking up at 4.30am even after going to bed around 1am.

The torrential rain is keeping me awake too.

brizzledrizzle · 20/12/2018 04:56

I've been awake all night. I've got yo be up in an hour to go and help family with stuff.

popcornwizard · 20/12/2018 04:57

I keep waking to poo at 5am. It's really pissing me off - I need to 'reset' my bodyclock - so there you go, inspiration for a new thread.

PenguinPandas · 20/12/2018 04:59

I am awake but have been working on a research project and can sleep in tomorrow. DH bringing me a roast dinner at lunchtime from his work. Been cuddling cat a bit too.

FrankieChips · 20/12/2018 05:00

Me. Period pain, in the spare room because I don’t want to disturb DP and now I can hear a weird tapping noise in the hall.

AnxiousMama101 · 20/12/2018 05:04

Not been to sleep yet. 38+3 weeks pregnant and feeling all weird bumps and cramps (can’t really tell if baby or contraction!)
I’m absolutely exhausted but body won’t shut off! Meant to be going to hospital for a scan and check up at 8am. Safe to say.. I don’t think I’ll be making it...

Stealthtoast · 20/12/2018 05:11

Up since 330 with my 8 month old. Just yells if put back in the cot and seems to be weirdly happy and awake otherwise.. urgh

LongHotSummer24715 · 20/12/2018 05:12

My 3 year old woke at 4.20 & is now crying as he wants monster truck racing on YouTube. I think I’m going to put it on.
My 7 week old has started to stir...

I really wanted a good night sleep for everyone as I’m leaving them tomorrow for the first time for a night.

Monster trucks it is!

Coffeeandtv1983 · 20/12/2018 05:15

Baby has 4 month sleep regression. Had just been used to getting some sleep again.Sad

Keepithidden · 20/12/2018 05:25

Up since 1am with vomity 9 year old, have now watched Home Alone with him twice and need to catch a 6am train to work! DW has been snoring for the past 4 hours now...

Macey89 · 20/12/2018 05:28

I've been up since 4am with my 9 week old. He's due a poo and is cranky. I have the worst cold and every time he's close to falling asleep I accidentally sneeze or cough and wake him up again. Fun!

GeorgeBailey2 · 20/12/2018 05:30

Another one with an 8 week old refusing to go in her own bed. Grin

TokyoSushi · 20/12/2018 05:35

A better reason for being awake here DH alarm went for work at 4:45am, I was awake too so, well Wink

Anyway, he's gone now so I have the bed to myself and another hour before my alarm goes and I start the school/work run.

MammaSchwifty · 20/12/2018 05:38

I've been awake for ages due to learned insomnia, while baby is actually sleeping through

christmasisuponus · 20/12/2018 05:39

Been awake since 3am, full of borderline flu. Swollen glands and horrendous tickly cough that just makes me want to rip my throat out. DH can't sleep either, he is in a meeting today to find out if he's lost his job. It's fuckin Christmas and we have 3 children. My works do on Saturday, but if he's lost his job we are not going and then I'll have all the explaining to do at work. Currently sat with my lab feeling sorry for myself and she's trying her best to comfort me.

Notquiteagandt · 20/12/2018 05:40

32w Pregnant so between needing loo every half hour. Waking up to be sick. Being uncomfy. Having to arrange my 100s pillows constantly. Feeling hungry. Restless legs. Aches and pains.

Im surviving on about 2 or 3 broken hours sleep a night.

I had convinced myself id probs get more sleep with a baby. But reading this thread im not so sure 😂

Im excited to be able to sleep on my front again though.

MaidenMotherCrone · 20/12/2018 05:41

Awake at 4am as that’s the time I usually get up for work. Last day in work was Tuesday so damn you body clock. Why can’t I just sleep longer like a normal person? Argh Angry

Notquiteagandt · 20/12/2018 05:42

@christmasisuponus how stressfull for you. Hope it is not bad news Flowers hope the dog is at least giving you a little comfort. They are good like that. Just knowing when you need a cuddle.

christmasisuponus · 20/12/2018 05:56

I know Notquite it really is crap!! He is in his meeting at 9am same time as DS's Christmas play which I will be attending in between tears of joy for my little one and stomach churning sadness waiting for the phone call.

Hope it's good news, it's not something you want to hear anytime of the year but few days before Christmas is just shit!!

TheOrangeOwl · 20/12/2018 06:02

Been awake since about half four. 35 weeks pregnant, very uncomfortable and got sick in the back of my throat any remedy suggestions would be wonderful.
