Leggings? Best and worst? Anyone.

To some I may be BU as I know many people hate leggings. But I need some desperately.
I have painful legs to touch which is under investigation but anything other than leggings hurt.
My old ones that I wear round house are faded and thin.
Want some thick ones that stay black ideally.

And not sure what to wear with them, footwear wise and top wise. I'm 5ft 3 so not very tall. And a size 14.

M&s, asos. Long tops that cover your bum. Or jumper dresses. Love leggings

newmun · 19/12/2018 16:24

Any foot wear

InanimateCarbonRod · 19/12/2018 16:26

Next do some really great leggings. They're light, soft and not see through.

Bekabeech · 19/12/2018 16:28

I like the thick (not the 2 for £10, but 1 for £10) Sainsburys ones.
I had some nice cosy Primark ones but they already have a hole so wouldn't recommend.

Pinkywoo · 19/12/2018 16:31

Primark do some fleece lined ones that stay jet black, are really warm, and not remotely see through, they also stay up all day with no hoiking!

Bigonesmallone3 · 19/12/2018 16:36

Select ones r quite good

LollySox · 19/12/2018 16:36

Its hard to say with leggings as brands seem to change quality quite often! But a top tip for coverage with leggings is to get a long line vest (basically like a mini dress) and then put your top over the top and it provides some extra coverage for the bum area!

Pearlgrey1 · 19/12/2018 16:39

Very leggings have good rep.

Snowydaysaregreat · 19/12/2018 16:42

Thanks.we dont have a select nearby anymore.
But will look at M&S and next. . And sainsburys which I can try tonight. ( typical was in there earlier and didn't think about it) if no luck there will have to wait till neww year as don't want to go to town when hectic

So thinking an overhaul of wardrobe to go with leggings. As not many jumpers except hoodies. As was always planning to lose weight after dd and haven't lol

Decathlon - the dance leggings which are £7.99 stay black and wash well. Also Groupon did have some good ones on offer - I was dubious but they are actually really good. Cost £6.99 I think and were called Control Leggings but they are actually comfy.

Snowydaysaregreat · 19/12/2018 16:43

Oh very. I have an account with them I think and quick delivery.. Will nose in a bit.

I like the thick H&M ones. High waisted to rein in the wobbly bits (mine anyway) and nice and thick. Cheap too. If I'm flush I like the White Stuff leggings. Lovely colours and nice quality. There's usually some sort of sale so often not too pricey.

Suziepoozie · 19/12/2018 16:46

Worst - Sainsbury’s, they get holes in easily.
Best - asos but can be hit and miss with stock

Eviecee · 19/12/2018 16:48

I like the Sainsbury's ones best (the 1 for £10, not 2 pack). Tesco have corduroy style leggings atm which are nice too.

Snowydaysaregreat · 19/12/2018 16:50

Just looker at the old ones I have indoors and theyre sainsburys. But faded but theyre prob 3 yrs old. And bleached as they're my housework ones.

I like Boden but they’re not cheap.

HostessTrolley · 19/12/2018 17:17

The Sainsbury’s £10 a pair ones or mint velvet ones. My dd (18) loves the primark fleecy lined ones

FoxFoxSierra · 19/12/2018 18:12

The best leggings I have are from everything 5 pounds! They are fleece lined so lovely and warm and they do lots of different colours

AleFailTrail · 19/12/2018 18:19

I’ve been wearing jhodpurs from sports direct for a while now. A bit like leggings but far thicker and warmer

BigusBumus · 19/12/2018 18:25

Sainsburys ones that are £10 are great and have a nice thick wide elastic waistband.

ForalltheSaints · 19/12/2018 18:29

I hope you can have the appropriate treatment to get well soon.

KenAdams · 19/12/2018 18:30

Sainsburys thick ones here too

ThunderInMyHeart · 19/12/2018 18:30

Uniqlo do good thermal ones!

DropZoneOne · 19/12/2018 18:33

The thick next ones which are £18 are comfy and so warm. More like trousers really in terms of thickness. Size up though, they come up quite small IMO

Alicatz66 · 19/12/2018 21:37

I got some nice ones from Silk Fred .. have a look at their website .. I think they are called "Sadie" .. nice and thick x
