AIBU to consider botox at the age of 27? (See photos)

Expecting to get some stick here but here we go...

I have always taken care of my skin, wearing daily spf and stayed out of the sun where I can! But recently I can't help but notice the lines on my forehead are getting worse.... shallow I know but am I bonkers to consider botox at the age of 27?

My theory being that it would delay it getting worse early on? I haven't carried out thorough research yet this is early days!

Has anyone else had it in their 20s/early 30s? What is your experience?

My DD and her friends started around your age.

They look fresher.

My first Botox was in my 30's, my Forehead lines have never fully come back.

Summersun111 · 16/12/2018 17:35

My photos will not post, strange!

birdgottafly if you don't mind me asking how often do you have it done it your forehead? It sounds great the lines never came back!

Can’t see photos but following - I’m 29 and can absolutely see a forehead line or two myself, I raise my eyebrows when concentrating and it annoys me. That said I have considered that getting a fringe is remarkably cheaper!

Any luck with my photos attaching?

Relaxed! It's much worse when I raise my eyebrows unfortunately

I'm 37 and considering Botox too. My forehead wrinkles have got a lot worse since I had my second child. (He's a very bad sleeper!) It's so ageing. Sad

So nervous though! Following to hear positive stories!

Wait until you really need it. In my experience, when you start having botox, it relaxes muscles but you need the muscles to still work, so I started having it aged 40, with top-ups regularly. I find now, aged 48, that I need it less and less and never need it more than twice a year. I now have less lines than I did previously.

KitschBitch · 16/12/2018 20:02

In fact, no lines at all on forehead or frown lines x

littlecabbage · 16/12/2018 20:04

Roughly what is the cost, out of interest?

shecamefromgreece · 16/12/2018 20:08

I have it if you want to see?

shecamefromgreece · 16/12/2018 20:09

Need to sneak off dh doesn't know!

Worieddd · 16/12/2018 20:11

I would. Why not?

bumblebee39 · 16/12/2018 20:14

I wouldn't

Id get a fringe 😂 & some eyelash extensions

FuckingHateRain · 16/12/2018 20:19

Get it done if you want to. Have you thought of where you going to go?

@shecamefromgreece I want to see it!

shecamefromgreece · 16/12/2018 20:21

I have it in my forehead lines, in between my eyes and in my crows feet.
I think it looks natural but the person who does mine is very into it looking natural.
I'm 41 if that matters.

Looks amazing!!!!!
How often do you get it done? You in Uk?

Summersun111 · 16/12/2018 21:06

Wow it looks super natural and your skin looks flawless. How much did it cost you and how often do you get it done?

OP, I had it done the once and the deep lines that went across, never came back as deep.

I've chosen not to carry on with fillers/Botox, just from a cost POV.

I have Radio Therapy and a few other things, but that's to stimulate Collagen production, which I need at 51. You don't.

My DD and her friends get top ups about every four to six months. They are late 20's to early 30's. They look refreshed and more awake.

FuckingHateRain · 16/12/2018 21:13

@Birdsgottafly what's radio therapy for collagen? Does it work?
I've only heard of collagen waves but it's too expensive!

I am 28 and have had one round of Botox - hopefully the pictures attach. I am a doctor and my friend (also a doctor) is qualified so did it for me. I decided to dabble because it was mates rates and thought it will wear off if I don’t like it, but will definitely be going back for more. Had a family wedding a week after I had it done and had so many compliments about my skin and my “glow” and being asked if I’d had my haircut - basically no one (including my mum) could tell that’s what I’d had done, so I think as long as you don’t go overboard it can look really great. Good luck!

P.s. the night I had it done I had a lovely forehead spot - so that’s what that mark is, not the injection point! The needles are tiny.

@FuckingHateRain and @Summersun111 I'm in Cheshire and I'm not religious in having it done,it probably completely wears off after about 4 and a half months but it still doesn't look as bad as it did before if that makes sense.
I go to a nurse who's been doing it for years. It normally costs £180 for two areas (I usually have just in between eyes and forehead) but she had a special offer on in November of three areas for £130 so I had that.
My eyes aren't that bad so I probably wouldn't bother again unless she had an offer on.
