Alright, hands up, I’m hungover to fuck from a big party last night (free bar and free food which no one was bloody well eating ) and I have to go to a two year old’s party later (I might eat a very rare burger for lunch to try and get out of that, as last time I did that the world fell out of my bottom )

But I’ve just seen on Facebook that they’re currently in the process of blowing up 500 FIVE HUNDRED balloons to fill the restaurant (yes, the two year old is having their party at 7pm in a restaurant )

WHY? WHY??? Why would you just willy nilly leave 500 balloons floating around to just remain in a horrid wrinkly plastic shape for the next 1000 years, or blow away and just hang on a tree, or smother a bloody I don’t know, marlin in the sea? Why????????? And why would you spend your day blowing up 500 balloons???

Arghhhhhh it’s going to be such a long day.

Either way, I think it's a pretty mean thread. If choosing an unconventional name, blowing up some balloons and hiring a Chinese restaurant is fair game for inviting the ridicule of whole forum behind their back, I'm glad I'm not in their family.

I'm all for the balloons but seems rather too much for a 2 year old, in a restaurant, at 7pm!

And regarding free sleeping. .I got told off by the school for letting my 4 year old stay up until 8!

Someone call social services because these parents if they exist are quite mad.

I've been to a 3 year old's party that started at 10pm at home, but that was Italy. We have family members who free sleep their kids and have horrendous problems getting them to cooperate with nursery or starting school. The kids spend most of their time overtired. Mine would have too as my eldest never would have gone to bed on her own volition.

First off, a 2yr olds party at 7pm in a Chinese restaurant is ridiculous, why are the parents being so selfish, have it through the day at a kid friendly place, maybe with a ballpitt or something that kids can actually enjoy. Secondly, the balloon thing really p**ses me off, I know it's not illegal but it should be, especially in that quantity. I watched a YouTube vid of a balloon release in I think Chicago or somewhere in the 80s and the environmental effects it caused are still a problem now. Our kids are not gonna thank us for the total destruction we are leaving them with just to have a few balloons at a party they won't even remember.

Wasteful in the extreme. The kids will get high on all the MSG and a shitstorm will ensue. I would fake illness.
