Did anyone know where my daughter left her jeans?

Apparently they were ‘there’ but now they’ve gone- I’ve been out all day and at a work dinner so only just got home... I have no idea where these rouge jeans have gone and she’s having a melt down as she NEEDS them for Xmas jumper mufti tomorrow.

So aibu to assume you moved them? If so please tell me where they are so I can go to bed and she can stop her breakdown and my neighbours can stop thinking we live in a mad house.

My brother had a pair of trousers that my mothere was convinced were lost.

Little did she know that they had fallen through a hole in space and time and were in a parallel galaxy ruled by galactic gastropods.

So you just never know.

SpiritedLondon · 13/12/2018 23:14

You might spot me tomorrow at the school gates with big sunglasses on.

user1473878824 · 13/12/2018 23:15

I will bet you five pounds they will be in the LAST PLACE EVER a teenager would put them.

Wash basket.

Auntiepatricia · 13/12/2018 23:21

I bet you £100 they will be in the last place you look!

Chocolate85 · 13/12/2018 23:22

They are in the gap between the washing basket and the wall or at the bottom of her wardrobe amongst a mass of similarly coloured clothes. It’s now the first place we look. I’m glad you’re being unhelpful, it really is the only way to survive these situations Grin

moofolk · 13/12/2018 23:24

I've got them. They just suited me better so I took them she didn't really like them anyway.

5foot5 · 13/12/2018 23:25

I lost a pair of jeans once but I think they blew away. Bit complicated, rotary line out of commission and cleaning lady at the time a bit cavalier about draping washing over whatever then going home. Didn't fancy traipsing round all the houses nearby asking if they had found them. Not much help, sorry.

BananasAreTheSourceOfEvil · 13/12/2018 23:29

Confuse her by saying they will be in the last place she’ll look for them.

Then when she finds them, you can legitimately say they were in the last place she looked, as she found them and looked no further. Grin

I torture my kids with that one all the time.

organiseandbrewery · 13/12/2018 23:31

They're not neatly folded and in a drawer in her bedroom, are they?

Kittycuddles · 13/12/2018 23:31

Oh, them ones??

THEM ones??

Yeah they were dirty, the cleaning fairy flew them off to her magic castle full of washing machines to wash them for her and to deliver them back naice n clean n folded on her bed in the morning.

Duh

Smallhorse · 13/12/2018 23:35

Things you lose are almost always no farther than 2 feet away from where they should be

ravenmum · 13/12/2018 23:45

So they are rogue jeans, not rouge jeans?
Down the back of the bed or in a ball at the back of the wardrobe. Or did she come home in her jogger bottoms after sports?

DobbinsVeil · 13/12/2018 23:45

Have you made the joke yet about "it's not like they have legs. Oh actually they do!" and laugh hysterically at your own joke.

inashizzle · 13/12/2018 23:54

Can you find my dds £120 trainers now.
I last saw them on her feet Sunday Eve.Vanished off the face of the earth. Didn't take them for pe, has 'looked' so that's it. Could I order her Nike flux? Can I cocoa.
I have checked under sofa under over and between sheets, cupboards (just in case she temporarily lost her mind and put them where they should be and bloody everywhere bloody else .

goforkyourself · 13/12/2018 23:58

Have you checked the 90's? Ugly jeans seem to be making a comeback Grin

seventhgonickname · 14/12/2018 00:04

I once told my dd she could have mine, she did,cut wedges out of the front and back ,sewed them up nicked my good leather belt and looks stunning in them as sort of fitted boyfriend jeans.
I am a size 16 she is a 10.
I am also missing vests, several long sleeved teashirtd and most of my cardigans which she used to mock but now covers.

Anyat212 · 14/12/2018 00:07

Have you dialled 101 to get it logged?

Brilliant 😂 haha

InSightMars · 14/12/2018 00:28

If they are the kind that are more rips than actual fabric, the holes have probably all merged together into one huge hole leaving a few blue threads and a random zip on the carpet under her floor-drobe.

MayhemandMadness01 · 14/12/2018 00:34

I'm going to throw this one out there but can you smell burning?

If so then she went to iron them, got distracted by a Snapchat/ Facebook/ Insta etc and left them on the ironing board with the iron still on hence the smell.

Iloveautumnleaves · 14/12/2018 00:47

mayhem whatever you’re having, I’ll have some. It’s definitely helping you with creating a complete fantasy! Teenager, ironing 🤣😂🤣

NeedToChangeMyLightBulb · 14/12/2018 06:37

Rogue not rouge... apologies, we were in the midst of an apocalypse.

Still not found the buggers

I sense further trantrum throwing... currently in the calm before the storm.

Ds2's were on the back of my chair in the kitchen this morning.

Otherwise tumble dryer or in the dirty washing basket.

Does she only have one pair?

Mrsbclinton · 14/12/2018 06:46

Try looking in a bag shoved somewhere or car boot....if she was on a sleepover she may have packed them or even left them behind.
