and that the people bastards who have signed the no confidence letter have only their own interests at heart. The country at large is irrelevant to them.

Where is Corbyn? Fucking idiot, doing NOTHING.

No because he is a brexiteer.

DriveAnIceCreamVan · 12/12/2018 08:47

Best avoid city centres, it will be like France.

SillySallySingsSongs · 12/12/2018 08:49

There you go? No all that says is they go along with the vote. Just because they aren't campaigning for reversing the vote ot doesn't mean they are hard Brexiteers.

Amber Rudd says it should be carried out and she actively campaigned for remain.

BarbarianMum · 12/12/2018 08:53

I think grass roots Tories love JRM and the Blow Job so I wouldnt count on them making any sensible decisions tbh. So yes, I think we're screwed. Sad

Cutesbabasmummy · 12/12/2018 08:57

YADNBU! This is the last thing we need! I'll leave the county if Bo Jo gets in as leader. I hope MAy will hang on in there if she gets the 51% - no one else would do a better job and plenty would do far worse.

DeepanKrispanEven · 12/12/2018 09:03

I like JRM. He's open about his beliefs and people can vote for him or not based on whether their beliefs align with his.

He's not so open about the personal financial benefits to him of pursuing Brexit, even a no-deal one, and how little he cares how fucked up the country might be so long as he makes money out of it. I despise him.

WendyWoofer · 12/12/2018 09:03

SillySally

Jeremy Hunt has been on TV, recently, slating the EU. I can't link the whole article on this phone. It's a sky news report if you want to look at the whole thing...

ElektraLOL · 12/12/2018 09:04

Yes things are going from bad to worse.

DeepanKrispanEven · 12/12/2018 09:06

I'm horrified about the prospect of a PM who wants to go for a so-called "managed no deal" exit. OK, it's fractionally better than an unmanaged no deal, but then that's a statement of the bloody obvious and doesn't change the fact that a no deal exit is the worst of all possible worlds.

DeepanKrispanEven · 12/12/2018 09:07

I'm still baffled by the argument that another referendum would be undemocratic. Surely it's the very definition of democracy?

Tinyteatime · 12/12/2018 09:07

Agree. I for one will feel like rioting in the streets at that point.the Eu clearly won’t budge now will they? There is no better deal. I’ve yet to hear a proposal from any brexiteer of the miraculous ideas they will come up with. May really should be commended on her staying power, I’d have told JRM and Boris to get on with it themselves and sort out the mess they created long ago.

Tinyteatime · 12/12/2018 09:09

And it’s so deeply irresponsible to throw Britain into more political instability at this point. They will go down in history as massive shit bags. I feel so angry.

PyongyangKipperbang · 12/12/2018 09:12

I have never voted tory and am no fan of TM, but even I can see that a no confidence vote and potential leadership fight is a fucking disaster right now.

JRM doesnt give two shiny shites about anyone or anything other than being seen to win.

Metalhead · 12/12/2018 09:37

Deepan exactly, just like most of the other big Brexit campaign sponsors who are now all betting against the economy and even their own companies for their own financial gain, and to hell with the rest of the country!

Ninoo25 · 12/12/2018 09:51

OnionsAreNotTheOnlyVeg 😂😂😂

I’m glad it looks like she’s on her way out as I think she’s wholly incompetent, but I shudder at the thought of who could come next. I think we need a general election, note a vote of no confidence in TM.
Labour just need to swap their leader for someone more palatable to the masses first (maybe Keir Starmer?)

megletthesecond · 12/12/2018 09:55

Yanbu.

AdamNichol · 12/12/2018 10:16

I'm not sure there are that many people who take BJ/JRM seriously - they are more like joke caricatures. Of course, some people would like to 'enjoy' the joke.....

AdamNichol · 12/12/2018 10:19

Chuka Unumma making a lot of sense on Sky news (about a change of leadership within Tories not making any difference to the lie of the land)

badlydrawnperson · 12/12/2018 10:20

If the Tories are about nothing else they are about trying to be in power and clinging onto it as much as possible, so other than a few loonies no-one's going to vote for JRM or Boris.

My money is on TM staying actually.

bellinisurge · 12/12/2018 10:52

Rees-Mogg doesn't have leadership vote numbers behind him. Boris has shot his bolt and is a proven failure.

SillySallySingsSongs · 12/12/2018 12:28

I'm still baffled by the argument that another referendum would be undemocratic. Surely it's the very definition of democracy?

I guess because where does it stop. If there is another and remain win does it mean best of 3? If leave mean does that mean that the campaigning to remain will stop? It imo will cause even more division and issues.

badlydrawnperson · 12/12/2018 12:30

YANBU OP but it's extraordinarily unlikely that either of these two will even stand - and they have zero chance of getting enough other Tories to vote for them.

DeepanKrispanEven · 12/12/2018 14:11

It's perfectly feasible to have another referendum justified on the basis of the repeated instances of illegal conduct in the last campaign and that the public is now being asked to vote on an informed basis, i.e. including the deal that is actually on the table. That doesn't open the door to several more.
