AIBU to ask you to help me name my business?

I'm setting up as a freelance domestic cleaner/housekeeper.

Please can you help me think of name for my cleaning/housekeeping business please?

I don't want to use my own name/surname.
I don't want anything that sounds too gimmicky or daft.
I will be working for clients in a rather affluent 'naice' like to beat the Jones's area so I'd like a name that sounds 'naice' too. I don't want my clients to feel embarrassed to recommend my business name or to have my car displaying my business name sat outside their house Grin

Please help me come up with something original MNers!

"Surely the "and co" on Broom & co refer to the dustpan, vacuum, polish etc.? I love it, subtle and clever."

Aaah, yes of course does! Broom & Co is def in the running then.

So many good idea's though guys. My shortlist aint so short any more!

TheDownsideUp sounds fine to me.

Spruce Springclean is brilliant! Grin

Having been involved for many years in direct marketing I would say don't pick a name that is so "clever" that it doesn't tell people what you do. Therefore Broom & Co is quite good. Or what about All Bright and Shiny? Once came across a hairdresser's called that. On the other hand, perhaps you could call yourself Cynth Bucket - slogan could be "Hire Cynth Bucket - Keeping up Appearances" (Geddit?)

VictoryOrValhalla · 11/12/2018 20:44

Hire Cynth doesn’t work as “hyacinth” in all accents though so it would depend where OP is located.

I believe she's south east so would work.

Centrice Cleaning (an Old English word for ‘Kent’ - the county I'm in)

MrsEricBana · 13/12/2018 12:23

Spruce Springclean???!!! OMG, do it!!!

GraduationDilemma · 13/12/2018 12:29

Something with Housekeeping Services in the name sounds descriptive and potentially snob-friendly on the side of a van. It could also helpfully suggest you're there watering plants and feeding pilchards to their elderly Siamese, and not necessarily scrubbing wee off the toilet floors and degreasing the dishwasher.

Ohyesiam · 13/12/2018 12:34

Shorten your list by seeing if you can get the domain name.
I like Honeysuckle Housekeeping
Broom and Co
And the old name for Kent one.

Tinlegs · 13/12/2018 12:39

Polish

MrsJane · 13/12/2018 12:55

My favourites:

Honeysuckle Housekeeping
The Marigold Company
Marigold's Maids

Nice country feel, great ideas for logos and names that are easily remembered.

Eliza9917 · 13/12/2018 12:58

Marigold's Maids

There's already a cleaning co. with maids in the name, she's need to check its not too similar.
