Mine are aged 7-13, we usually go to av friends house but we can't do that this year. Both sets of grandparents are away, there is no other family and no other friends to go with the children
What is everyone else doing?

I'm at work this year. But we normally get some nice nibbles and champagne & stay up for bells. Then go to bed!

Stay home, nice dinner, games, film, see the New Year in on tv.

This year our teenage DS will be out & we will just stay home, I really don’t like going out on NYE, I turn down any invitations Grin.

We will go to a nice local Italian for a late lunch with DS4 then back home. He will go to bed at normal time then DH and I will have a few vinos and a cheeseboard with music I suspect Wine

My DH won't go out on NYE any more and isn't keen to have people round (we do a huge amount of entertaining over Christmas, so he's just a bit bored of it by the 31st).

Last year I did a lovely buffet and then we played games and watched the fireworks on the TV. This yea, we're seeing a play in London, going out for lunch during the day and then playing games in the evening. I was really keen to go to Gelneagles next year as their NYE package looks amazing but OMG we could go to the Caribbean for the same price!

Dh will go to work, I'll stay home hoping nobody attacks him and that they have a smooth uneventful night. Put DS to bed as usual, glass of wine, bag of fancy crisps and some dip, watch the fireworks and bed.

I have work in the morning, DH has work in the evening, then we are flying to visit family at 10am on New year's day - so I'll be going to work, coming home, bathing the kids, packing and going to bed Smile NYE is probably my least favourite day of the year to go out anyway. Cold, over crowded, over priced, then it's just another day the next day with nothing changing.
