When a scene came on in a film with a man smacking a woman around the face and her falling and "d"p said (that's right, slap the bitch round the face, put her into her place) I then refused to watch the film and haven't been speaking to him since as he got pissed off and said I'm a feminist and it's just "nature". He's such a prick.

My husband would very occasionally come out with some really problematic shit when we were first together—usually along the lines of victim blaming. I would calmly discuss his views with him and explain it from a woman’s POV and he would come away from the conversation saying he had never thought of it like that before and he would be more measured in the future. Some men are just not educated on what it’s like to be a woman and that’s the response they should have when you teach them. But if it turned into a row with your partner and he’s deaf to your lived experience then honestly—why stay. He’ll only get worse if you stay and tolerate it becasue you’re essentially giving him permission to behave that way by putting up with it. I think you need to have a serious think about your relationship and if this is the sort of man you want around your children every day. You don’t have to take this. It’s bullshit.

How UNBELIEVABLY awful he sounds Hmm

Jesus Christ.

This isn't someone who is biased due to the patriarchy or who tests limits with banter.

He has told you time and time again that you are worth less than him because you are a woman. That, as a woman, you should raise his child, clean his home, look good for him, loose weight to be with him and that, as a woman, you deserve to be 'put in your place' with a slap around the face.

He has show you who he is OP, so show him who you are - someone who is worth more than this. Have my first LTB

Do you have children with him or own property with him?

If so, we can help you plan to leave him.

If not, leave him now!!!

Heavens above.

Look at you username @lovethetimeyouhave

Sounds like that you know life is for living and not existing.

Time for you to leave this creature who’s sapping your life force.

Well, BE a feminist.
Take the support and advice offered here by women who respect women and believe they deserve to live in equality and dignity, and make that better life for yourself.

And in doing so show your Ds that behavjng like this is not acceptable.

You need to take action.
