From the memories of my youth it’s great and was just sitting with my glass of wine thinking about how a spliff might be a nice replacement treat from time to time

@1moreRep
you are right!
Prohibition is a really bad thing, totally counterproductive on all fronts,
much better to have it legalised so that we can eliminate the terrible things that you mention.

The terrible things are obviously not intrinsic to cannabis, they come about as a consequence of prohibition which really just puts power and money in the hands of criminals!

Which is why I'm really pleased that we now have legal medical marijuana and should shortly have legal recreational marijuana :o

Wordthe · 06/12/2018 22:59

and as said, even if it is illegal most people can find a connection which doesnt involve gangs, etc, or grow your own :o

MooseBeTimeForSnow · 06/12/2018 23:05

It’s been legal here in Canada since October 17. 30g possession limit or 4 plants at home.

Huntlybyelection · 06/12/2018 23:12

I was in Canada when it was.legalised across the country. All i could smell the next morning was weed. Hilarious. DD remarked on how flowery the place smelt.

thisonehasalittlecar · 06/12/2018 23:25

If it does get legalised here I'm going to start running one of these. I've got the flowery tea cups and everything! Smile

Tiscold · 06/12/2018 23:31

Tbh i think all drugs should be legalised, well the possession of anyway.

The governemnt could sell rights to make it, and then sell rights to sell it, plus tax it heavily like cigarattes are.
This would remove a criminal element to it as no one is going to get it off dodgy dave if the shop sells it or the pharmacy sell it.
It will raise loads of tax.
People will be free to make their own choices and risks but still know that what theyre getting isnt filled with something dodgy.

But then this comes from a probably once every 2 week weed smoker so the drugs probably rotted my brain by now, oh no GrinShock

AleFailTrail · 06/12/2018 23:34

Depends. If you have neighbours YABU. The smell is vile and some of us have a bad reaction to the smoke. Not mellowing reaction, fist through the wall desire to kill everything in the vicinity reaction. I know this thanks to living next to pot smokers for a year and destroying my room every night whilst not remembering it, just remembering feeling a seething black hatred of the existence of anything.

Aldilogue · 06/12/2018 23:36

Hoopaloop 😂😂😂 you're funny , a kilo of cheese 😂😂😂
Legalizing drugs is a terrible idea IMO especially here in Australia where the Ice epidemic is so bad. It's a shitty drug that ruins people's lives. Marijuana isn't the same anymore either because people put so many chemicals in it. Last time I had it ( many years ago) it freaked me out. Never again.

AleFailTrail · 06/12/2018 23:38

Addendum to above;

I know it’s not my personality totally. Alcohol has the opposite effect....mellow then sleepy time.

halfwitpicker · 06/12/2018 23:41

I don't see the problem

JustABetterPlayer · 06/12/2018 23:43

Hoopaloop

Don’t mock till you’ve tried it 😄😄

Wordthe · 06/12/2018 23:44

I find it straightforward to get pure weed with no chemicals added you can even grow your own fairly easily

Nothininmenoggin · 06/12/2018 23:46

Hate hate hate this bloody illegal shitty drug. It causes massive mental health issues and IS a gateway drug. Nobody will convince me otherwise so don't even try. Makes my blood boil everyone thinking it's a fucking laugh. IT'S NOT.

concernedparentofone · 06/12/2018 23:49

@Nothininmenoggin I don't think everyone thinks it's a laugh. Some people swear by it as a cure/aid to their chronic conditions.

Wordthe · 06/12/2018 23:50

To those of you in Canada, are there still problems with the safe thc limit for driving or have they come up with something now?

Wordthe · 06/12/2018 23:52

Ok message received nothin, no point in US talking to you because you've said don't even try
😉

Nothininmenoggin · 06/12/2018 23:54

Good glad my message was received and understood. Re for medical conditions obvs ok as all the shit stuff that affects your brain has been removed.

halfwitpicker · 06/12/2018 23:56

^^
I live in Canada and I have no idea. I'll find out and report back

IJustLostTheGame · 06/12/2018 23:59

Yanbu
That is all

Wordthe · 06/12/2018 23:59

The marijuana which is used for medical marijuana is exactly the same as recreational so if there's any shit it's in both

ViragoKnows · 07/12/2018 00:12

So is available in all forms? From specific outlets? (State run?) You have state owned “bottle shops” in Canada, don't you?

BadlyAgedMemes · 07/12/2018 00:18

I'd have some occasionally quite happily, but I can't be arsed trying to source any. I have no weed contacts since university days, and it seems like too much hassle to start asking people. If they ever legalised it, though, I'd enjoy a little vape or an edible...

Onestep2 · 07/12/2018 00:56

@hoopaloop 😂😂 same thing happened to me. Got wide in amsterdam in front of DH (Who is an accustomed smoker) and ended up whiting over side of canal and had to go back to hotel n lie down as I was tripping balls ☠☠

Same weekend we gubbed some magic mushrooms and well fuck me that was a whole different ball game 🤪🤪🤪🤪

Inkstainedmags · 07/12/2018 01:13

Nothing has been sorted out yet. I suspect nothing will be sorted until there are charges and subsequent legal challenges to the poorly drafted legislation.

Loose flower, pre-rolled joints, and oils are available for sale. Edibles will not be sold legally until next year. Systems of distribution are decided by each province. Some have gone with a monopoly by the provincial liquor commisions, some are opening it up to private retailers.

It is also now legal to grow up to four plants although in my province seeds aren't available for sale yet. It is also legal to share and trade with (but not sell to) your friends.

MooseBeTimeForSnow · 07/12/2018 01:38

Here in Alberta the online store is run by the provincial gaming and liquor council. There will be private stores. A couple want to open in my area but they haven’t got “planning permission” yet. Lots of rules around not being too close to schools etc.

Alcohol isn’t sold in supermarkets. Lots of private chains here. All governed by the AGLC ^^
