I actually find them quite offensive!

Well they certainly are offensive to anyone with a modicum of taste or decorum but I can see how they would appeal to the type of person who swigs Prosecco straight from the bottle then does an almighty belch.

They're naff, but not scandalous or upsetting.

Yabu. I get much more offended by cards with Christian iconography on them because they are hijacking my Yule but then again I have bigger fish to fry and just carry on with my own drinking and feasting celebrating and leave others to do likewise

Eleven years ago the Studio catalogue did some naughty Christmas cards ................the one i remember was the one where Santa was in bed on top of a woman and the phrase was Has Santa come yet.

Ok - I need to clarify ... it's particularly the 'o come let us adore gin' one. O come all ye faithful is such a lovely carol - isn't it most people's favourite? And even if you aren't one of the 'faithful, it's turning something traditional and lovely into something tacky. Ok maybe 'offended' was the wrong word. I don't mind the 'necko the prosecco' one, but don't know if it's meant to be a play on words or not. Actually, I think they've misinterpreted the 'adore' ... I actually adore gin, but I don't want to kneel and worship it . Happy Yule to all non-believers btw

The gin one is a play on words between him/gin which sound similar. It's not taking anything away from the song. You're way overthinking this.
