Waters broken early what are the essentials

Posting for traffic. Just woke up. Waters trickling ... I’m 36 weeks. I have nothing ready. I mean nothing. What do I need to get/pack that’s urgent? Hospital called don’t worry... I am going in.

Good luck. So exciting! I had bugger all packed when my waters went. Nightie for labour, pads and water bottle were all that I really needed. DS was tiny so the baygro was huge but the hospital blankets were fine til. Morning when DH could go shopping. Oh - nappies, loads of them. But again the hospital provided a couple of emergency ones!

Thanks all! I went into labour myself and delivered after a very empowering fast labour! My son is beautiful!

I went with nothing (was convinced i’d Just started wetting myself) had to send DH home for stuff (luckily only 10 minutes drive from hospital). Clean underwater, stuff for a shower including a towel, lip balm, hairbrush and hair tie (if hair is long), glasses, hand cream, something comfy to wear home (my DH brought me my pre pregnancy jeans, think he thought i’d Just shrink as soon as baby popped out!), baby clothes, nappies and blanket, mobile phone and charger.
