AIBU to have a birthday present my dh hates

I've always wanted an ornament for the living room and have it for a birthday present. It's a statement piece so not subtle and dh hates it. It is not functional but makes me smile. AIBU to own something my dh hates?

If he didn't want you to display it, he shouldn't have bought it for you.

The bedroom is full of his non- adult toys? Then he has no cause for complaint.
