I've changed my name as I'm about to share a link that shows my house.

Next door is up for rent (and sale) and I was out in the garden whilst they had a viewing today, the viewer asked why I was letting my dog poo in the house they were viewings garden... umm I'm not! It's my garden!

So I set them straight and said well actually it's my garden and my dog can do whatever it likes... went back inside and googled the listing and there is our garden!!!

I'm going to have a word with the estate agents in the it office tomorrow as I want it to be extremely clear that that is our garden not next doors!!

It doesn't help that each garden is one step down from its respective house so I can see next doors garden from our french windows( to the right ) but they don't have a back door so have no access to their garden.

I've added a photo of our garden (the slate and sleepers to the right is next doors garden) and the link to the listing. The photo is from
The kitchen

Hollinwood Road, Disley, SK12

I think you should all get together a reallocate the gardens!

loubluee · 30/11/2018 15:24

^ yes that was my thinking!

birdladyfromhomealone · 30/11/2018 16:20

no pic of the garden on the link now so I guess you have told the agent

frigginagents · 30/11/2018 16:23

I've spoken to the agents and they agree that maybe the view from the kitchen is a bit misleading in that it is our garden. So they will make sure that prospective tenants know that it's not theirs.

Yes our garden situation is very weird. I've had a look at our deeds and that garden is definitely ours. I've added some more photos as I've managed to get the empty houses next door neighbours car in the way of their garden.

So number 1 is the view from our dining room
Number 2 is the view of our garden from our dining room
Number 3 is where their next door neighbour parks his second car (in front of the garden)

I've never seen a 2 storey shed before!

frigginagents · 30/11/2018 16:52

@BreakfastAtSquiffanys it's weird isn't it?? I make DH go up to the top because he's put the firewood in there and I hate going up the stairs in the dark to the top bit! Grin

That’s a very odd garden layout!

I think the confusion is understandable, given the unusual layout. At least you’ve managed to speak to the agents and clear it up now.

WhentheRabbitsWentWild · 30/11/2018 17:12

No idea but what good size bedrooms . Is it on 3 floors ? (going by the staircases) . That kind of house (especially from outside) is exactly the kind I would live in .

Not so many like that down "South" , in my opinion.

Re the garden . If its clear it is yours then yes, go see whom you are seeing with the deeds OP.

WhentheRabbitsWentWild · 30/11/2018 17:13

Oh I had not RTFT .

Glad its sorted now with agents

Pinkprincess1978 · 30/11/2018 17:15

My in laws gardens were all weird. Their original garden then had to walk down a path between two gardens then go left down a bigger path then their garden was on the right. Years ago they bought the garden on the left of the path which used to belong to their next door neighbours but was actually behind the house 3 down from hers. When it was up for sale she would make sure whenever there was any viewings she would go out and hang out her washing as agents were trying to make it seem like the garden was attached to the house!
