To ask for random acts of kindness that you've carried out...

I believe that kindness breeds kindness. I often carry out random acts of kindness, because:

  1. If I'm able to, why wouldn't I?
  2. The world would be a nicer place if we all helped others out more often.
  3. It makes me feel good to make a positive impact on someone's life.

Most I go about and do quietly, genuinely not helping people for recognition or glory, but when I have shared one or two examples with friends, they've said I've inspired them. Smile

Let's hear your random acts of kindness...

Gave my Uber Eats driver a big tip, my food was lukewarm but I'm warm and toasty in my house while he's driving around delivering food to strangers

Put £5 in a charity collection for the food bank.

Still going with my ROAK advent calendar, can't remember the days but over the last few days I've:

Donated baby food to a local food bank.
Used Costa points to buy an old couple some tea and cake.
Brought umbrellas for a few homeless people who sit near the local tube station

AsleepAllDay · 11/12/2018 13:08

Bought a coffee for a workmate I met during a fire drill

Have sent out lots of emails re: volunteering: call that one future RAOKs!

This needs a bump:

Cleaned the kitchen even though my housemate messed it up and I also mopped, can't believe it!

Gave a stranger a lift home after her bus was cancelled (20 miles)

Signing up to altruistically donate a kidney as a living donor.

Stopped with a guy with blood pouring from his head, called ambo, waited with him until they arrived.

Donate 20 hrs a week helping people come to terms with their self-harm.

And many more.

@CatLadyToddlerMother thankyou so much, that could well have been for me, but if not then I am still so grateful as I know that struggle after putting a plea out for cups myself as Maxwell would dehydrate rather than drink from any other cup, not even the updated version worked as he could tell it was different. It may not have seemed like much to you at the time, but I can assure you it was HUGE to the family who received them (who may well have been us)

On icy mornings I always scrape ice off DS and NDN car as well as my own
