Over £100 - new winter coat
£50-100 - simple work clothes
Under £50- smellies

And you!

A hot water bottle and a shiny new set of cutlery. I'm not sure how our cutlery drawer ended up full of mismatched horrors, but I would rather have a gorgeous set that match instead of boxes of Christmas smellies!!

YankeeDoodleDoo · 02/12/2018 12:19

sorry in advance for the TMI

11 yr old DSs is at him mums xmas eve so we are going to have noisy sex! Grin be great not having to be quiet incase we wake him ( sleeps in next room)

smackbangwhollop · 02/12/2018 15:57

Nothing material. Not to be on my own again. Company would be nice, I dont have any family and only one friend who is with her family at Christmas. Christmas is a horrid lonely time for me exacerbated by watching people plan for family, friends and togetherness every Christmas. Just makes me sad. I have a dog now which helps a lot. 🐕

Rockbird · 02/12/2018 16:00

Apple AirPods
Strawberry or white Lindor balls

I'll get the Lindor balls (and be very happy with them). I've got no chance of the AirPods.

BillywigSting · 02/12/2018 16:07

Nice good quality 100% cotton sheets. Dp doesn't care one jot about sheets but I don't really like our current tatty polycotton ones and can't justify the expense of luxury ones. No one in my family will entertain the idea though so I'm asking for John Lewis vouchers.

I would also really like to be in our new house too but there is so much work that needs doing to it (and we're not selling our current home, bought the second house with an inheritance) that it's incredibly unlikely. Considering saving the new sheets for the new house.

I'd also like to be about four stone lighter but that's entirely on me.

Black cashmere v neck jumper from Uniqlo
REN Moroccan rose bath oil
Plain black sweaty betty zero g leggings.

Wellwhoopdedo · 02/12/2018 16:09

I have promised myself for years that my Christmas present to myself will be some relaxation treatments in the run up. I have actually booked a hundred pounds worth throughout December. It will be lovely. My husband will get me a token gift from our daughter and that’s it (that’s fine in our house!)

Therunecaster · 02/12/2018 16:27

I'd like a black lab puppy...

brizzledrizzle · 02/12/2018 16:30

A metronome.

pasturesgreen · 02/12/2018 16:37

I have already bought myself a pair of Kiki earrings. Most I've ever spent on a single item apart from my car, but it's been a shit few years and now I'm coming through at the other end at last, it feels appropriate to treat myself in celebration.

Howmanysleepstilchristmas · 02/12/2018 16:40

A cat. I’m not allowed one though!
Pyjamas
Underwear
Anything chosen by the dc

cricketmum84 · 02/12/2018 16:48

Some leather gloves for driving - although I have quite big hands for a laydee so probs need to buy these for myself!
My favourite perfume
Posh gin
Chocolate baileys
Gin and tonic truffles from hotel chocolat

EnglishRose13 · 02/12/2018 17:44

Some black trainers.

Ted27 · 02/12/2018 18:02

nothing I really want but happy to recieve chocolate, books, lotions and potions (yes even Boots 3 for 2). I have bought a necklace with money from my mum, I think my 14 year old has got me a bracelet. We are having a trip to London to see the lights at Kew Gardens. I'll be quite happy with that and two weeks off work.

BentNeckLady · 02/12/2018 18:05

A heated over blanket.

sideorderofchips · 02/12/2018 18:06

My husband not to leave me

Grumpbum123 · 02/12/2018 18:07

I’m just grateful after my year I’m alive. I’m not asking for a thing. My H will probably get me something from the children but we’ve agreed a £20 budget

missionofmercy · 02/12/2018 18:12

Sorry to sound like a Grinch....

Honestly adults buying for adults is just, well ridiculous I think!

So you buy for A , s/he buys for you. Why not just go out and buy what you want for yourself!

Sorry, did not mean to lower the mood, but the exchanging of gifts between mature adults is just very needy and childish imv.

I probably deserve a bollicking for that. But I've got my boxing gloves on it's ok....

WendyWoofer · 02/12/2018 18:14

A pair of ankle welly boots to walk the dogs. My waterproof walking boots are water logged and I'm fed up of having trench foot. I'll probably wait until the January sales, and buy them myself, as we are not doing presents this year.

I have the family for Christmas lunch. That's all I want for Christmas really. But if anyone would like to buy me a box of choc Brazil's to call my own that would be super 🤗

Ted27 · 02/12/2018 18:18

becaùse its nice to give and receive presents with people you love missionofmercy ?

I have more money than my parents, I buy my mum things she can't afford, like a heated blanket last year, or things she just wouldn't think to buy herself, or treats. I think her presents to me would be what many people here would regard as 'token' but as I like chocolate and nice smelly things thats fine with me.

darkriver198868 · 02/12/2018 18:20

What I really want I can't have. So I don't want anything.

Hunlife · 02/12/2018 18:22

DH and I aren’t doing gifts this year as we have done a lot of home improvements recently. If I had a wish list though it would include nice beauty stuff (skincare and make up), the Kano Harry Potter wand and probably a new coat. My mum and dad will give me money and a stocking so I’m sure I can get some of the stuff I want and MiL will also give me some money. So it’s good all round.

Icklepup · 02/12/2018 18:27

A nice jumper Smile

Confusedbeetle · 02/12/2018 18:29

I want peace and quiet and no one falling out

cookiemon666 · 02/12/2018 18:29

For my ex to stop being a dick. And for a lovely building society to give me a mortgage in my own name.😀
