My son back.
That empty chair breaks me every year but I never show it for the sake of others.

Blanchedupetitpois · 28/11/2018 09:29

I have my husband this list - he’ll hopefully pick a couple of things from it and then use it as inspo for a couple of surprises!

le creuset pan
Anthropologie measuring cups
fancy leaf tea
A few books
A board game
A lens for my camera
A print from an artist I love
A spice grinder
A pair of boots

Blanchedupetitpois · 28/11/2018 09:29

@TheOxymoron I’m so sorry for your loss Sad I hope you find some peace this Christmas Flowers

Oysterbabe · 28/11/2018 09:30

A nap.

AiryFairyUnicornRainbow · 28/11/2018 09:33

Honestly I dont mean to sound self righteous with this but, after the year we have had in our household, I would be hoping for a peaceful day, where there are no worries and our small family unit be together.

It has literally been one thing after another this year which has left me jittery waiting for the next shit shower

Hopefully a half decent meal, may not be a typical xmas dinner, and a few beers

IlikebigbotsandIcannotlie · 28/11/2018 09:36

DH took me to see a show I wanted to go to last week as an early present.

I’ve also asked for Michelle Obama’s book, he will probably buy me a (costume jewellery) necklace too as he normally panics on Christmas Eve that he hasn’t bought me enough.

Sallycinammonbangsthedruminthe · 28/11/2018 09:40

I want absolutely nothing! Never do cos if I want something then I buy it! It will be nice though as the family get together for a fabulous lunch and the usual annual get together catch up.

BarbaraofSevillle · 28/11/2018 10:20

I also don't want anything, except a nice family lunch with DM and DSis and family, couple of meals out with DP and not awful weather so we can go for walks while we're off work. Plus time to veg in front of the TV, cuddle the cats and watch the kittens deal with the Christmas tree.

I'm trying to declutter so the thought of more stuff that I almost certainly won't want is not a nice gift for me. I won't mind if I get gin and florentines though.

SauvingnonBlanketyBlanc · 28/11/2018 10:29

I would love a weekend away with Dh but I'm very very pleased with the gold earrings I picked so it's all good.

angemorange · 28/11/2018 10:33

Galaxy Selection Box and two books - Elly Griffiths - The Stranger Diaries & CJ Sansom Tombstone.

Otherwise just a peaceful Christmas with no illness or drama :)

lilyheather1 · 28/11/2018 10:40

Every time someone asks me this I always say the same thing: pyjamas or socks Grin I'm never disappointed with any present that keeps me warm!

Sparklesocks · 28/11/2018 10:42

Some really luxe pillows - ours are misshapen and lumpy now.

A keep cup so I can help decrease my plastic consumption.

A bottle of posh whisky and a snog from jake gyllenhaal Wink

Oneinthegrave · 28/11/2018 11:38

A pandora ring
A nice smelly gift set
Alien perfume
Electric wax melter & lenor unstopables wax melts

JoyofSticks · 28/11/2018 11:39

Vegetarian Shoes' Gobi boots and they are ordered, woohoo.

helpingvsdoinghomework · 28/11/2018 19:32

A good night's sleep. Good food. Family times. Cliché but that's honestly it.

Laska2Meryls · 28/11/2018 19:42

Naice Gin..

A Grey cashmere Pashmina size scarf would also be good ...

Geraniumpink · 28/11/2018 19:46

We are having a week away. Bliss.

overitalready · 28/11/2018 19:52

A leather jacket
A Gucci belt
Weekend away

Not doing presents this year so the above is a dream never ever ever ever dream

Huntlybyelection · 28/11/2018 19:54

I know this sounds ridiculously drama queeny but i would like to be taken out for the day as a treat. Like you would a small child Blush

My sister promised to take me out recently - to pay for us both to see an exhibition and then take me out for lunch and to spend the afternoon with me. It was a (3 months late) birthday present.

We did go out. But she didn't pay for me. Only bought her own ticket and I now owe her £7 for lunch. I had spent almost £30 on train tickets to get there. And after lunch she buggered off to go to the bank, knowing I'd be on my own kicking about in the city for 3 hours till my train left. I went for a coffee. I hate shopping so it wasn't as much fun as you'd think.

Anyway. I'd like it if someone just took me out for the day. But properly.

Otherwise maybe some socks with an offensive slogan on them. I like them. Need more.

SaucyJack · 28/11/2018 19:59

I want a set of 4 Harry Potter mugs in the colours of the Hogwarts houses, and a Game of Thrones t-shirt.

Luckily for me- I buy the presents in this house, so they’re already under the bed waiting for the kids/cat/dustman to wrap them up for me for Xmas morning.

MsAwesomeDragon · 28/11/2018 19:59

I've asked for a soda stream. I do love fizzy pop but I want to reduce how much plastic I use, so a soda stream is it. DH is buying the machine, dd's are getting me extra bottles for it, dps are buying me some nice flavours of syrup (sugar free because I've just been diagnosed as diabetic)
