What do you do with baby when filling up in garage

Do you leave baby in locked car? Take baby in with you?

My Bank card never works at pump, so I have no choice but to go in.
I’m quite a new driver and I’ve not had to fill up on my own when I’ve got little one in the car with me.
What do others do?

I either pay at pump or lock DS in car. I have never ever seen anyone take babies inside to pay.

I on the other hand would always take them in with me and would never dream of leaving them in the car. Yes it's a pain but not a risk I am willing to take. Obviously pay at pump if that's an option.

Leave them in the car and worry less about absolutely miniscule risks, you (and your child) will lead a much happier life.

Besides, it's almost certainly safer leaving them in the car anyway.

Sillybilly1234 · 28/11/2018 22:49

Duct tape it to the roof of the car.

Bigonesmallone3 · 28/11/2018 23:12

Leave it in the boot

EwItsAHooman · 28/11/2018 23:15

Make it fill up the car and then go in and pay while you stay warm and safe in the car because it's about time it started pulling it's weight.

My DS is 22 months. I take him in with me if I’m not at a pay at pump. Can’t go to the loo without him screeching for me so it’s not worth it! If either of the big two (12 & 10) are in the car he’s happy to stay with them 🤣

Karensbadger · 29/11/2018 00:10

I had 3 under 2, and there was no way I was going to assemble a triple buggy and strap them all in just to pay for petrol.

And frankly, if anyone wanted to nick a dented old Ford Galaxy whixh stank of poo, wee and metanium, and contained 3 screaming shit and sick factories, well they needed the car more than I did, so good luck to them.

LorraineBainesMcFly · 29/11/2018 08:49

If I took my DC out of the car I would be 15+ minutes wrestling them back into the car seat........so I lock them in the car.

Leave it in the boot

LOL
